Will never going to do a better clean vocal version than Vessel, but what I like about this video is that people assume that gutteral vocalists can't sing.. When most of them don't have an issue singing because its far easier to do than harsh vocals. And its also nice to see someone who does such insane shit do something mellow.. It's a lot like when Corey Taylor started doing softer songs with Slipknot or in his own side project. Its nice to change it up!

Wills favourite band is sleep token it’s why he has done these covers, and you can tell he wanted to go into the harsher vocals when he sways back and forth 🤣, I actually heard wills version of hypnosis before sleep tokens and I liked wills better, I’ve not properly listened to all off sleep token songs but I do like the song the summoning 😊

This is the version I have in my playlist instead of ST, the emotion Will has in his voice feels more real for me and now when i hear the original I’m missing the harsh vocal bit. Wish he would do Aqua Regia or Granite covers also. Will’s cover of Hypnosis was actually the first time I heard a ST song 😂

What I love about Will's harsh vocal section of tis song is that it fits it perfectly. If there was ever a section of a Sleep Token song that could use harsh vocals that heavy part was it. so kudos to Will for knowing to add it.

Will struggles to find the natural rhythm at first, but bought it home nicely indeed. Vessel has a very natural 'swing' style vocal (Sinatra et al) that is hard for any vocalist to find within their own sound.

Definitely no where near as good as the original. I'm not hating on Will either he's a cool dude and we come from the same town, and I know his drummer well. But Vessel is just in another league..

Im a huge Will Ramos fan, and I can completely appreciate his love for Sleep Token because I share that same love, but yeah... his covers aren't terrible by any means, but they aren't great either.

I always felt like I'm the only one. It's very, very autotuned, to the point where the 'pitch bends' are snapped to the nearest note. The song has a very strong blues/soul influence with the vocals, and his overprocessed, autotuned vocals do nothing but frustrate me every time 😄 I will say, to not be overly negative, he's got a good timbre to his voice and his Joji cover is great (the autotune actually fits there). And of course, his screams are top tier.

@cgollimusic the guys got a good voice and his screams are great..... Just not for this song or sleep tokens sound in general. Will's voice isn't anything unique and to be honest I've heard dozens of singers like him in the past. Vessel's voice stands out from the crowd and that is hard to do nowadays.
