He has a such a smooth, fluid technique-- especially given that German-style bowing. Nice.

What is the German-style bowing? Because I have seen other solists using their bow more like a Cellist would do. I am only used to the technique he is using

lala la two different bow holds. french and german. french grip is overhand and looks traditionally like how a violin/viola and occasionally cello grip. german is underhand as seen in this video.

Is there another bass player with the same accuracy in intonation? Please tell me if there are others. It is a great pleasure to listen to a bass played with this degree of perfectionism.

There’s plenty, such as Rinat Ibragimov, Marc Andre, Dominik Wagner just to name a few. (These are only people that have recorded this specific concerto, there’s even more people that don’t play this concerto that have amazing intonation.)
