This compared to the original work brings out more of the emotions that this piece makes me feel as this cover of it makes me feel on the focus of the emotions of: Anger, sadness, grief, anguish, agony, fury, and that of vengeance this captures that sense of just emotions but I also feel a sense of calm and peacefulness to really capture the purity of Junko and of her character and personality. Note: This is BEAUTIFULLY performed and just an amazing cover of the already amazing song by ZUN.

While having never played Touhou 15, I have listened to its soundtrack. The original track is still one of my personal favorites. A “Calm before the storm” kind of thing. When I’m dreaming, this is what usually ends the dream, The Sea where One’s Home Planet Reflects. It’s so nice and soothing... and being a swimmer made the sea sounds so appetizing. Junko. The divine spirit who purified herself out of eternal rage and anguish, with the ultimate goal to kill Chang’e, the one who took her son away from her. Since you can’t kill an immortal being, she took the hard way and attacked the Lunar Capital with her rage, starting Touhou 15 because of all the refugees and the invaders from the Capital. This arrangement does the original song and Pure Furies ~ Whereabouts Of The Heart good. There is something I need when it comes to things like this, and that is the four stages of Calamity, as stated by the Calamity Mod interlude soundtracks. There is calm before the storm, there are storms before the catastrophe, and there are catastrophes before the calamity. Junko’s mind is in a calamity, with the loss of her son being the catastrophe to cause so much pain and anguish, so much so to be one of the only characters in Touhou being hell bent on killing everyone, because in some way she saw it as revenge, maybe even jealousy to that end, that they have happiness where she has only anguish. Family drives people to do things normally they wouldn’t do or think of things to do or think that is not normal for them. I had issues trying to find the morality to Junko’s actions. Inherently, she isn’t wrong. It’s natural to have a vengeance against those who wrong you. But by making others feel your wrath unnecessarily, that is wrong. I only made peace with her actions once my grandmother died, which was in 2020. Due to circumstances, I ended up feeling what Junko went through most likely: anger, a sadistic bloodlust for the one who wronged her, like with my grandmother (my aunt). Only then did I realize the motives for attacking the Lunar Capital. Oh, that was a long one. Excellent arrangement, you did the theme a great honor.

This is absolutely outstanding,'d even say better than the original. there's actually another little town Touhou music remixer by the name of SSBBMaster I'd highly recommend that you check them out maybe even do a collaboration? I'd recommend their cover of Kanako's theme. that said I'm going to enjoy the treasure trove of music that is this channel.
