私はPC-98もこの東方の原曲も知らない人ですが、とっても聴きやすくていいなって思いました！！！ 音色が分離していて、飽和してごちゃごちゃしている今の曲とは反対に、それぞれの音が主張をわきまえている感じがして、すごく耳に優しくて聞き取りやすくて好きです！！！ シンプルな音色も活用次第なんだなって思いました！

I also agree with you, in those pc-98 or retro video game music, it's so easier to notice the layers of the music, I really like to pay attention to different layers.
