Only way I can recommend besides playing by ear is to either get the separate sheets for each theme and create your own simple medley, or to email the artist to see if you can purchase it off it them if they have it.

I'm in a good mood today, having nearly 1cc'd EoSD after being stuck in a rut with it for so long. I say nearly because Sakuya ate up a Continue. I can honestly say (to add to your pitch to drag another poor soul into bullet hell) that the sense of accomplishment that this series provides is incredible. That said the game can also be frustrating at times, for example with how Cirno is memetically incompetent and all it's soul crushing when you accidentally die because of her.

Playing on normal the first time is really recommended. Playing on easy doesn't help one get better. The other tips are, use shift for focused fire and use Marisa B and bomb every spellcard you are bad at.

It's an extremely long story simply because there's like 15 games on it, with multiple side stories (some official, some unofficial). So it's difficult to say. You have to just be acquainted with every character and its background. That'll help you understand.

"In order" meaning the chronological order of the songs when you play the game from stages 1 to 6. The list of songs that I put into the description is in chronological order. But the way the medley is played out, the order is not chronological. In fact, some themes are played more then once in the song.

I just played EoSD from that list, and only as a challenge. Can you tell me more about those history references, because I didn't notice anything major... plus the history and conversations sounded quite nonsensical, ending included. But knowing it as shoot'em up / bullet hell I enjoyed the graphics and music.

You're forgetting Subterranean Animism, Unidentified Fantastic Object, Hisoutensoku, and Ten Desires (and Fairy Wars, I think.) And the actual first five that most people don't play; Highly Responsive to Prayers, Story of Eastern Wonderland, Phantasmagoria of Dim. Dream, Lotus Land, and Mystic square. I really enjoyed the older ones though. :3
