What our Law Minister K Shanmugum said about HK is valid. The world witnessed how HK started with demonstration with hundreds thousands of demonstrators in peaceful manner on the street but soon became ugly with riots, bomb throwing, confrontation with police and beating of their own fellow HKers. If China did not step in, guess HK will still be messy to this day. Singapore should never grant permission to hold any peaceful demonstration and HK is a living example of peaceful demonstration that has gone terribly wrong. Singapore will pre-empt such situation from occurring. Also Singapore will never take in refugees or people seeking political asylum. Singapore is too small, we don’t have enough land to house these people and we don’t want the floodgate to open to allow these people to come in and create social problems. What we can do on humanitarian ground, we’ll provide assistance in terms of food, medical and other necessities to these people. Let these people go to other countries that has bigger land mass to take them in.

Whether he 抽水or 9 吹 or not, he has done his job well & proven his capability with actions. However, other countries can also think they had done better in whichever own way that suit their culture & policy. Eg Hong Kong, Uk & etc… need not to compare & criticize … Of course, you may be a better person to do HIS job…Anyway… is clear that the result can be seen by the world... there is no PERFECT rules, policy & country but we are happy with our government & never has the thought of migration 🙂 as long as the country is SAFE & has JOB & continue to PROSPER. All races live in harmony, we don’t 扑火….You are WRONG! You are just an OUTSIDER ! We love the way our government govern OUR country. Note, he may be using the case as an example but you said he 抽水!

What rubbish discussion is this? I think you got the context wrong. The minister is trying to use examples to warn issues that may happen to Singapore if we do not do what we should do or doing now! Mind your own business first!!
