I love Bossa Nova as much as LoFi. Both are great in my opinion. I'm not really music-savy so I don't know about how technically good both of these genres are but they just sound great when I listen to them, doubly so when it's Touhou content!

I'm 28 and I can tell you right now, the fanbase has been around strong for a good decade and a half even in the west. You'll find many people older than both of us. The early Nico Nico videos were spread about via an assortment of Flash animations more than 10 years ago. The remix culture that came with the creator's policy of allowing fan works without complications led this to be much more than a simple franchise about girls shooting laser beams at one another. The Touhou Project is factually a series of Shmups that ZUN created, but it's also everything that was created around it. The first time I ever saw a torrent being measured in the Terabytes was when someone compiled doujin albums for the franchise, back in 2012ish.

very nice compilation. In fact this is the first i've seen that includes the more obscure, yet among the best of Shiabayan's arranges such as 星をつむぐよ. solitary girl, 泡沫と繭, 風舞う春に. Tho as the video title is [ShibayaRecords] i wish you wouldve included songs not arranged by shibayan himself also, Bom dia (good morning) from THBN 1 and 落火流水 (Mutual, Burning Love) from THBN4 wouldve made great additions.
