Now, THIS brings me back! I remember when the animations were a lot more common. I guess what everyone says about animating being a very low-paying job on KZbin is true, because while MMD and music videos have continued, illustrations and animations are a lot less common. It's sad to see, because I think it's here where people's imagination comes to life the most, and I love to see the passion in these!

Touhou animations in the old days are mostly PVs for fanmusic CDs. Sound Holic and Hatsunetsumiko being the most prominent to release animated PVs, I believe. The trend just died in recent years and circles eventually stick to moving still images as it's probably cheaper/easier

It's so rare to see a touhou animation with this level of care put into it. You often see MMD nowadays and I'm ok with that. But I will always love this 2d hand drawn style way more.

I will be honest, LoLK isn't my favourite Touhou game but it is definitely my most favourite story out of any Touhou game. Kudos to vivian for making this. I am super huge fan of Junko and this is absolutely outstanding.

Touhou’s Golden age ended since 2014. In fact, doujin works have dwindled since. Still, this community is still pretty strong even after that era passed and im sure one day great content like this will re-emerge in the masses again someday.
