I remember when Marasy wasn't even a circle... it was just one dude playing some touhou themes on his own piano with a stuffed monkey. How far he has come over the years...

This song hits my heart every time I hear it. I really do believe that music allows us to connect with our emotions. I find so much comfort in this song, particularly this arrangement, it makes me cry. The beginning, with its gentle lullaby feel, is soothing, then the picking up of the middle part's pace draws my attention back to the melodies, before hitting me with the bittersweet ending that makes the tears come every time. I don't feel lonely when I listen to this. Absolutely beautiful.

Marasy's "Sleep" Touhou albums are my favorites. I hope he makes another one some day. I honestly prefer the more mellow style these albums go for, and I think having fewer parts played "aggressive" actually makes me appreciate that style more. They aggressive parts are long enough to rouse you, but don't overstay their welcome so the songs retain their relaxing vibe.

As I said with my other comments, some of these sound eerily familiar, but then it might just be me. When it comes to piano, kinda hard to distinguish what sounds new and what's not. The sleep theme holds true to me for most of the first half of the songs, then it kinda shatters that with the aggressive play. I guess it's to have the nightmare feeling from dreams? Solid album, I do like me some peaceful piano every once in a while.

I'm pretty Marasy knows the pleasures of sleeping. I like to think he based this album around what he sees and feels in his sleep. In this song I think he saw a girl like Koishi(or koishi herself) and that girl was nice, playful, but unstable. She probably chased him around with something dangerous and as time went on, things got scarier, they got different, they were new, but when all was said and done, that girl approached Marasy but he felt no fear. He knew she was done chasing him. Her playtime was over and she was tired and he watched her find a nice comfortable spot in a place he had not noticed before. A small area of grass with a slanted stone covered in moss in the middle but, the stone was not completely covered in moss as there was sunlight shining on it which prevented the moss from growing in the spot that the girl had claimed for herself. He didn't have to go to the stone himself to know what it felt like. Just seeing, he could feel the warmth of the surface on his skin, he could see the angle of the rock supporting his back, and he could feel the safety of the moss as life could grow and it had left a spot just for him to rest. That's what went through my head at least. This is an inventor's dream to me because the one who inspired the person who invented the wheel was the one who invented the wheel. Keep in mind that I'm like an alcoholic when I am tired so this is just rambling.
