I could not understand what he was saying, but it didn't matter. I've seen some of this footage many times and this is the whole thing thank you. So sorry for your losses, and I wish more people would look at this and see how incredibly terrible a huge tsunami can be, and what these people in this part of Japan went through. Seeing your whole village turn into a flowing debris flow. It must have been devastating, not to mention the loss of lives.

I used Google Translate. The photographer who posted the video is taking about the fact that the area where he was born and raised was quickly destroyed by the tsunami. Rather than sadness or surprise, I can tell from every word that he is stunned but middle-aged and quietly trying to record the situation. Japan has been a country with a large number of earthquakes and tsunamis since ancient times, and warnings of past earthquakes remain in legends and documents. Hopefully, there is no way to prevent the short time from the occurrence of the earthquake to the arrival of the tsunami in the photographer’s video, and the natural disaster that causes the tsunami to flood the elementary school on the mountainside, which doubles as an evacuation site. Let’s tell the people around you and prepare for a natural disaster like Japanese people.

At the beginning of this video A Girl and a man repeated announce Danger Run toward higher places But their voices were heard no more Do you understand what it means?
The woman who is making the warning announcement, was washed away along with the city hall building by the tsunami. Her body was found in the sea. 高台へ避難してください、最期まで防災放送で呼び掛けた女性職員の方(24)も犠牲になり、ご遺体は海から見つかりました。心よりご冥福をお祈りします。

So very sad. It’s just horrifying the devastation of lives, property and land caused by the 3/11 tsunami. I have much respect for the people of Japan and what they suffered on this day and for so many years following. You are beautiful, strong people, with an amazing rich history. I pray you never have to go through something so devastating ever again.

And she was found a long distance from where she had been when the water came ashore.
I watch this today and it still seems to me that it was yesterday not ten years ago. And it grieves me so, and I weep. You are all with my heart and in my heart forever. much love from missouri, usa.
My God that's horrible. In 2008 i lost 2 homes in Cedar Rapids, Iowa due to flooding, but nothing like this. This is an unimaginable catastrophe. So many people killed. So much property destroyed. I'm so sorry for your personal losses & Japan's losses as a whole. Makes me very sad to watch this, knowing that many of your family & friends died because of this. Many prayers for you & your country. Many good people lost everything. So very sad. God bless you❤
Camera focusing is very good if u compare the other tsunami footages. Brave and hardworking people .sad for the losses.

Absolute stunning photography and visualization of this devastating tragic event on this community an throughout Japan. I have viewed hundreds of videos from the hours at it began until now 2023 and I never get tired of seeing this and the great surpassing courage of the Japans people as they faced it all.
