@@terrycheng5842may we know how young the Hong-Kong student was, did he study Chinese history and he should went back home to ask his grand parent how he was born in this planet.
This so-called "from Hong Kong person", either naive or lier. As a person is still living in Hong Kong. I have not seen students are killed by police! I have my full respect for this professor! He is showing his brave to fighting people not letting him to tell his point of view! Shame on the host and that so-called "from Hong Kong person". Freedom of speech? What a joke!

the reality is more disgusting, they are the ones that attacked civilians and killed polices and pretend to be innocent and victim afterwards
As a HongKonger who grew up under the social unrests in the last 10 years, I feel absolutely disgusted by this student. I might not agree on everything the HK Government or the Central Government does, however, I am proud of my country, the leadership, and these people disgust me, if he so cared about HK, he would have embraced the leadership, or at least understood the history.
It goes on to show you the destructive and toxic power and the influence the western media with the seeds of misinformation planted over multi generations is reaping poisonous harvest, especially amongst the younger but ill informed masses in Hk.
The HK student presented a perfect example of how media can distort public perception: Students in HK were arrested not because they participated in “peaceful” protests but because they were involved in urban guerrilla warfare, resorting to violence against people who did not agree with them. And majority of the real students were detained but then released without prosecutions. Interestingly, there was this January 6th drama ending up with several being gunned down. Not sure how the young boy would compare these two events if he is really unbiased.
He didn't disappear afterward. That's the difference. :) Sheeps will never understand until its too late. That's why history continues to repeat itself.
Salute to Prof Jeff Sachs for his bravery and honesty. That HK student has no clue what he was talking about.

That student from Hong Kong. Where was he going to go after this event? Home in Hong Kong I think. If there is really such an authoritative government in place in China Hong Kong and he might be jailed, why did he go back? I am from Hong Kong. Haven't heard of his arrest at all. BTW, the cultural revolution had finished almost 60 years ago. China has paid the price and learned the lessen. Generations of Chinese people have grown up and moved on from it.
