D.O. has a nickname in Korea that translates to “Yoo Youngjin’s son born from his vocal cord” LOL because they sound so similar. Yoo Youngjin is a monumental figure in the musical aspect of things in SM Entertainment and he rarely releases his own songs anymore as he’s mostly involved in songwriting and producing, but I think you can see why he did this with D.O. He doesn’t train just every trainee, and the ones that are trained by him (D.O. Included) definitely got some stuff and inherited his singing style

Finally!! I can watch the whole video! I just caught the tail end in the premier, haha i keep laughing at your reaction! I heard one reactor say its baby making music hahaha! He's amazing right? Imagine a full RNB album might just end up the whole of kpop industry. Those runs here are unbelievable. This was on repeat till his album dropped but never loses its grip on me when i listen to it again and again. I wish he'd sing the whole song live one of these days, truly. This is one of the reasons why I don't understand people underestimating Kyungsoo's vocal just because he rarely hits the power vocals in exo like Chen and Baek. The guy can only sing adlibs and it will be a masterpiece, cmon! He can sing a whole song of yeah yeah and it will just be as amazing! Anyway, may i suggest another video? Yes YoungJin, does have some things of his own. He is an exceptional vocalist. This song was written specifically with D.O. in mind and later became that D.O would perform during EXO concerts. Yoo Young Jin has 3 albums Blue Rhythm 93/95/01, singer, songwriter, record producer and vocal trainer. He mainly does more of the other SM groups, however I do love D.O.s manly voice more, no pun intended.

The more you delve deeper into Yoo Young Jin, you'll realize how much of an absolute LEGEND he is ! He released 3 full-length albums when he was solo R&B artist under SM ent. in the 90's (in fact he was the 1st artist to be signed under SM if I'm not mistaken) ... I'd definitely recommend his songs Agape, 그대의 향기 (Your Scent), Dear my family, Crazy in Love, Unconditional Kismet, Alone etc. and many more wonderful ones !
