松江商、出雲商とも元々演奏レベルは高かったのですが橘スタイルの導入で一般の方にも愛される素晴しいチームになりました。同じ曲でもそれぞれ独自のアレンジが有ったり振付も含めて個性が窺えて良いですね。松江商のユニホームは大好き。紺と白の単純な組合わせながら華やかさとシックな印象を受けます。どんな曲にも合いそうです。

Mitsue has always excelled at stage performance that is vibrant and imaginative. Although KT SHS is more well-known outside Japan, there is a plethora of amazing Japanese high school bands that all have their own unique strengths and talents: Onishi Gakuen, Waseda Setsuryo, Toho, Tokai, Mito GHS, Seika GHS, Izumo BHS to name a few. I, too, enjoy the diversity.

@@bellesogne I am not familiar with most of those bands but KT's sister band Izumo Business High School is certainly right up there with the best.

I've been a fan of Tachibana and Izumo for several years but have recently come across Seika and was astounded at their musical talent, marching precision and their Colour Guard's ability to put on their own balletic show during an interval. Also their DM can _really_ throw a stick! (2022 performance at the Izumo Dome, video is here somewhere...)

@@gagatube In interviews, some of the KT SHS OGs mention that they were originally interested in bands like Seika GHS, Waseda Setsuryo, and Golden Bears since they have a "higher" reputation, especially in their results at All Japan. However, they were won over by KT SHS's entertainment style and joined. Original director Hiramatsu-san focused band development on entertainment value to keep the negative elements of band culture out of KT SHS. Even though their training is extremely rigorous, the kids should have fun and be lighthearted. Genki Ippai, Egao Ippai, Yume Ippai. If you watch enough Japanese school bands, you definitely see how they skew either to the entertainment side or the martial side. However, I think they are all moving towards a middle ground these days. With current marching coach Shima-san ("Mentapu") and her DCI experience, today's KT SHS shows a lot more polish, elegance, and precision technique.

In 2021 Another Day of Sun was sung, beautifully, by a euphonium and a sousaphone player. In 2022 it was sung not as well by DM and a dude. In 2023 sadly they have dropped the vocal but their instrumental version is much better than KT who have also added it to their repertoire. Added: did I catch a brief glimpse of DM at about 2:45, right down the back playing a guitar? Hard to tell but seemed to have gold braid? Another edit to answer my own question. I saw another video of this performance with different camera angles. DM was clearly shown first playing a guitar and then playing a keyboard for the duration of the show. Surprisingly she did not participate in any of the front line activities like her predecessors regularly did.

Want you to know, Matsue, that September was the love song for me and my wife. We started dating in September, married and had a wonderful dance together for many years until her death. I've been alone now for several years so when I hear you play and move to September it brings me great joy as I sing along and remember "dancing in September." Arigato, Arigato, Arigato!!! Possible, but I think it's more like band members doing a special feature for that song. Like the band members who sing vocals as a feature for a song. If they were forming a CG section, I think it would have been seen at either 2023 Kyoto Sakuara parade or Brass Band of 3000. Or maybe Brass Expo if it had not been cancelled.

まさに、おっしゃられる通りと思います。 せっかくの😆パフォーマンス🎶演奏を 存分に発揮できなく、 非常に残念です。 車は、御当地には、 生活に不可欠と思いますが、貴重❇️な御地元の皆さまとの、ふれあいのひとときは、 車などは、通行を止められ、安全で、安定した場所での開催を 今後は、望まれますね。 が、松江商業高等学校の皆さまの、若さあふれる、素晴らしい演奏🎶には感激させて いただきました。 わたしは東京在住で、 都立の商業高校出身者で、吹奏楽部などは無しで、どうしても 都内の職業科の学校は、音楽関係の部活は、寂しいです。 母校も少子化で廃校の さまです😔😞泣く😭

認知度が低いのかな?狭い駐車場で……出商と松商の演奏時には園児や小中高生の前で演って高校の部活で楽器を演奏しながら振付あり全身で楽しんでるのを伝えて欲しいですね😊　京都橘が今も部員数が極端に変動せず憧れて入部志望が途切れないのがまず地元密着活動してるからと思います!　いつか３校合同でのマーチング観たいです😊

@@user-bj6rr6em1m 松江商業や出雲商業もファンです。ただ、あの動画を見る限り、もったいないのと、危険ではないのかと、本当に動きが制限されていてと思いました。あれだけのパフォーマンスをする学校ですので、それに見合うだけの場所を提供して頂ける所を確保して欲しかったですね。
