I'm pretty sure they used "futon" instead of "the futon" on purpose, considering that the rest of the translation is surprisingly good and they use "the" for everything else (the bathroom, the room, the cold world, etc.). Possibly in an attempt to make it feel closer or "personify" it, like "Noooo, Futon, don't leave me!!!!!1!"

And before you come up with "well, 10 years is quite a lot of time to get good at english, obviously it shouldnt be a problem for you", just let me say that i had some people in my english class - the advanced english class - last year of highschool and they were still terrible at it, like when they read out their homework sometimes i literally couldnt even understand what they were trying to say. And i still dont think that even them would have any problem reading that sentence.

almost 2 years after I started studying Japanese and not being able to understand it at first back then... I have no issues now and I can listen and read everything ❤
To be honest. This comforts me. The end telling you that when your day ends and when you feel tired, your futon or your bed is waiting for you. For me, that slows everything down a bit. Always think there isn’t enough time to do stuff I want to do (sleeping) but this fun song helps me. ☺️

I feel that the futon is a symbol of one's home, and everyone has to step out of his or her's comfort zone to embrace the outer world, no matter how cold is it.
