As a travelagent for Germany I can only say: This is (with Hamburg) the most beautiful of the big cities in Germany! Its so much nicer and with so much more "atmosphere" than in the vastly overrated cities like Berlin, Munich or Cologne! Especially during a warm summer night the "vibe" along the river promenade and in the old town is absolutely fantastic!
