She's a great officer and for a change I'm happy to give props to scopely for making a immediately important officer available to all players; I was less keen on the first month's below decks officers but Tendi is a big win (especially imo for battleships given their high natural hull health stats)

Here is an example of how well Tendi works. I complete "wrath" and "tour of duty" with tier 6 auger using PMC. The repair time was 3 hours. Unlocked Tendi and put her below deck. Ran same event 2nd time. Repair for Auger 35 minutes. Same systems.

I can't see anyone disagreeing to this. The moment I unlock Tendi, I immediately put her on one of my ship to test her out and wow huge difference. My ships just lasted longer while I'm grinding.

I’m a level 30 player, and I just got Tendi today. She is awesome! I’ve been able to last in that one extra round when I go against high level reds. I also have Bomlier, and Badgey. I put them together with Tendi in my lower decks, the three of them it seems like definitely give my ships that extra boost, especially when I’m using PMC, or Kelvin Kirk, Spock, and Kelvin Bones.

I got tendi and did some testing using her with borg grinding. I've gotten over 3k more borg probes with tendi below deck compared to the same crew without tendi active. She really comes in handy on the survivability aspect of ships.

I have been using my Northstar to farm my swarms as my Franklin can’t kill all 8 26s I need for the daily. Before Tendi, I would get the 8 26s with a little hull to start on the 24s. Now, I get all 26s and 24s to complete those dailies. My NS can now complete the remaining “15+” swarms by hitting the 24s. Might not be that impressive for the long time players, but for a minnow, that little boost gives me more time to complete missions, map systems, and gather rss to grow - not to mention the extra modules from just killing more 24s instead of 15.

I've had similar experience, but doing it in a much more simpler way like others have. If I can go to a system and kill 25% more hostiles on one hull and the only thing I swapped out was Tendi, I'm sold.

The fact that for now most only have these officers at a low tier, makes these officers viable mostly on our old ships and not our current or main ship. I have seen them being useful when I put her or other below deck officers on my other ships like ent or vidar or stella which have plenty of below deck spots. But when I am using my Ktinga or jellyfish which have only 3 spots below deck, if I give up a spot for tendi, it can mean that my ship is now weaker than how powerful it was when it had max bonuses. For example if I have PMC on my ktinga, with only 3 below deck slots, I load Khan ( max), Char ( max) and 6of11 (T4). With this, I get 360% attack and 400% health. If I swapped out for tendi, the decrease in the bonuses, and the decrease overall is greater than what tendi provides. And I am sure that this will also follow in the future, when I get a pilum or stuff, since the main ship will not be maxed in day 1, and would not have adequate tiers until it is not the main ship anymore. The only ways in which this can be changed is if you have a higher tier of below deck officers, or if scopley gives a massive boost to their stats such that their t1 stats are as high as t4 rares or epics at the least.

Lvl n up my botany, it's tier 9 lvl 42 running mtp bridge crew, using all the lower deck crew on bottom row. Tendi, Badgey, Boimler, Rutherford, livis. Works great.

While I get the all or nothing approach, but it's highly likely to leave a bad taste in enough people's mouths that going to a tiered payout with full unlock for top may be better. Like 10/20/35/55 (total 120) just a suggestion. Still, a f2p path for immediate unlock is a fantastic improvement. And whales can have them at much higher tiers. Everyone wins 🏆 🙌

When I saw Tendi being offered in the event today, she just had little over 3 hrs to go. And my May milestones I completed before hand didn't count. So I only gotten two completions in the three hours out of 27. I really wanted to get her, but unwilling to spend more of my hard earned cash for her. Maybe next month or some other time. Oh well.

So it is just from the ship base but even then that would be big for doing dailies or even just faction grinding since more health just means your ship stays in longer in the fight. I'm just annoyed I missed her by one trophy since I missed doing an event in time, and annoyingly it was the one that gave 2 extra trophies due to Scopely's poor quality control, the complete new missions. Don't know why but thought its timer was the same length as the Recruit Tendi event. honestly probably should have been. If they do another battle pass event like this, I hope they honestly give people wiggle room, that isn't having to bust out the credit card.

She is great at t1. Officers that are great at T1 in no particular order - Pike/Picard/Riker/5/3/4/10/Harrison/HG Worf/Yuki/Rom/Ghrush.

2 - Extended Cargo as Captain, perfectly synergizes with 4 7 - He's just great against borgs for lower players Pan - Best speed captain Kuron - Best speed bridge officer Lorca - Wipes the floor with Gorkon Jaylah - Beast against fat Borgs, also usefull to kill l25 Ferengis TOS Spock - Underrated, excellent even at tier 1 if the opponent doesnt run shield regen and you run the TOS Crew but theres no need for TOS Uhura Leslie

Lower deck officers probably don’t show up in logs because LORE. In the cartoon, the lower decks usually don’t get credited for their work publicly.

As far as our alliance could tell, it was totally random. No one is sure why some people finished and others did not. Most active players do all the events, but there was a wide difference in outcomes.

I unlocked Rutherford and put him on my Sally with Badgey. With them and PMC on my vidar I'm now able to do lvl 33 borg 🥳🥳

I was wondering what the other epic officer abilities would look like after Mariner just giving straight damage and hull health seems much more useful, especially for small ships that can't get officer bonuses yet. Any idea whether Boilmer is actually effective below deck/worth it in the event store? Been considering spending the rest of my event store currency on him to get him to tier 2, not sure if I'm missing something though because I haven't heard much hype around his lower deck ability. I know mitigation is usually a top priority, but usually seems like it's based on a stat like 5 with Health and Zhou with Defense. Also, what is a base-cracker's favorite movie genre? A Rom-Khan :P

I am thrilled that there were "screw ups" where there were extra completionist trophies for Tendi. I don't think there should EVER be an officer meta recruitment event that doesn't allow for ANY bad days. What happens if you've gotten 26/27 of the tokens and then something happens, like your phone breaks or you have a serious real life issue and you don't get in game? That's a full arc of effort wasted. There should ALWAYS be buffer points.

Personally, I don't agree, because an EPIC officer should require 100% completion. Think of it like the award yo uget in school for never missing any days. I do get where you're coming from though, and don't think you're wrong. Just different perspectives.

@@RevDeuce I think about past officer metas and they always rewarded some bps as milestones. This is the first all or nothing meta since I started playing. I'm fine with the last milestone rewarding something like 60 bp, but there should be intermediate milestones along the way. I can guarantee that there would be nothing more frustrating than being 1 point away and getting nothing. This type of scoring is not going to drive low spenders to purchase, it's more likely to make someone quit than spend, in my opinion. Something sensible with 3 milestones (30, 30, and 60) would at least give people partial progress.

You sure its not just a rounding thing, right? The difference between the game showing 1M more HP is literally a single Hull Point. The Rounding of Values is just awful in this game

I'm surprised by the comments below, especially the Augur player. Tendi "75%" hull increase works out to about 8% hull health increase when you look at the hull #'s in the battle log... lots of promise, but Scopely math is harsh and defeats these numbers... 75% fantastic. 8%... well, its not zero. (Your sample Vidar - 13K on 214K is really only a 6% increase). snooze... but I'm hoping it gets better later.

I agree that seeing the 75% then getting 6% ot 8% feels like a ridiculous bait and switch. Well, that is how all the Scopely math works. However, 6% is awesome, not a snooze. I kill more reds on a hull. I beat some armadas and win some pvp battles I would have lost. That is amazing!!

She has limited usefulness. As an ops 39 player, I only have obsolete ships maxed, so she’s only useful to me on my Vidar and Stella. It’s also hard for me to gauge her effectiveness because I also just tiered up 5/11. Speaking of 5, here are the most useful out-of-the-box officers in my opinion and in no particular order: 5/11, Geordi, Riker, 3/11, 4/11, Harrison, Kirk, ToS Scotty, ToS Uhura, ToS Kirk, Picard, Beverly, Vemet (for pvp events) and the ENTIRE shakedown crew. You can throw in some extras like cadet Uhura too.

Next time you do a ship video can you click the bonus % for the ship, as break it down e.g. frank-a 15000 attack = 100% but my current attack is 8610 yet I’m getting 280% bonus so how does that work or is the difference a research thing?

Well the 100% would be max bonus for that Stat and on g4 ships like the frank the max bonus is higher hence the odd numbers

Tendi is flat awesome. Her, rutherford, biolmer (spelling?) were extremely nice to add to the stella armada crew. Mariner as the dmg bonus is pretty meh but those three are really nice.

yeah, compare her ability with Mariner giving 70% weapon damage bonus... this damage bonus is nice, but will not have as much of an impact as the hull health bonus from Tendi...

It sucks that you have to have be lvl 35 to get the event to get the cerritos why not let the lower level players do it to so they can grind out the ship by the time they get to 35 Similar to grinding out your 1st stella

I still think the Lower Deck officers should have both of their abilities apply when they are in the lower decks of a ship instead of one for the bridge and one for the lower deck. Rev says if that way it will make them OP. I disagree. If everyone can do it, then it will be evened out. If anything, it will give those with those with a Lower Deck character an advantage over those who don't for now. It will also give players an advantage in PvE scenarios (like hostile hunting). My two cents.
