250001 to 500000 is 5% income tax in old tax regime. In new tax regime standard deduction is Rs 75000.

Sir it's very difficult to cut down the taxes prevailing they won't reduce any thing to the middle class infact they will squeeze from middle class only during covid period senior citizens railway concession as well as Gas subsidy immediately the same govt ruling only took back how many years over and how many senior citizens lost their lives but they didn't reinstated the earlier things hence no taxes direct or Indirect they will not reduce and help any body even don't dream this one ready to pay higher. Actually old tax Regime is better than new tax regime to middle class people.. we have salary 1526800 then I need to pay tax from 300000… and my savings under 80 c and housing loan benefit are not useful… my advice to government pls to include 80c and hra and housing interest benefit under new tax regime… it is the real benefit to middle class people

80 C is biggest scam it includes so many expenses and there is a cap to it. Which school in Bangalore accepts tution fees with in 80 c limit? In my opinion all these sections are just scams government never corrects the limit to account for inflation..

Obviously we middle class people shall spend less when we are taxed more. There must be zero income tax on 20+ lakhs as the middle class people spend most of the money on health and education. Make health and and education free and tax the middle class more , no problem. Close corporate hospitals and corporate education institutes if you have the guts andraise the GDP. Does any government has the guts to do this?? Because of you greedy politicians we the citizens are all suffering. It shall not be forever, it shall change and you shall suffer.
