Underhand is hard for baseball players to hit bc of the angle. In baseball 99% of pitchers throw overhand so u see the ball coming from a high point to a low point. A submarine pitcher throws mostly sidearm but bends his body so that the ball is a foot or two frome the ground when he releases it and its very hard to hit. A MLB submarine pitcher would throw in the high 70's low 80's and kill. Its practice. If u put a woman up to bat against a minor league pitcher she would strike out and its bc she isnt used to a small white ball being thrown at 90 mph.

The reason both can’t hit off of either is different, I’m not trying to back any sport but baseball the ball falls as the pitcher throws above hand which means your bat motion must go straight through the zone now in softball the ball rises so you must chop at the ball so it goes straight and not up every time, now it’s not that much on a different swing but it’s just enough to throw people off that’s why you usually don’t see softball players hitting baseball and vise versa

I get that people arguing which sport is harder is annoying, but it is actually proven that softball is harder. Though I have to say, I love both sports and find them both easy. The only thing I find hard is softball pitching. (since i'm learning it for the past 2 years and the baseball pitch took me less than a day to learn.) But both softball and baseball people play a sport that a lot of others cannot play, so we shouldn't fight which one is harder since there is challenges for everyone. I'm not even SUPPOSED to be playing since i'm blind in one eye. (completely. no blur at all.) But did me and my family listen? Nah. If we did listen, I wouldn't be playing a sport since I find nothing else entertaining. I wear protection though.

Softball is hard because you have to hit as soon as you know where the ball would be pitched. Baseball is hard because the ball itself has movement, and each player has difference deceptions. If a softball is thrown at a longer distance, softball won't have anymore ace pitchers. Also, if a baseball was thrown from a closer distance like softball, a 0.00 ERA might be technically possible. Conclusion: the only reason softball is as hard as baseball is because how close the pitcher throws. However considering how a softball pitcher never has any injuries even after throwing 10 consecutive games, shows how less challenging it is. So, it is okay to say a softball can't say they are grinding softball in front of a baseball player.
