It never ends and I agree with GGM. Got D2 and LOD when they came out and play but had no idea what I was doing, still loved the game though. I scarcely played up until about a year ago. Finally beat LOD in Hell difficulty and yesterday I unintentionally had my first encounter with the Uber Diablo Clone and my merc got his ass handed to him.

quick note about peace runeword: the valkyrie no longer despawns when you take it off. she lasts until death no matter what now. so if you're a summoner, like necro or druid, you might want to pick one up just to get a larger army. just go around slapping mobs in act 1 until she spawns and you're gucci for the most part. she has a bad habit of dying on bosses though, especially diablo, baal, but for everything else she is usually going to survive. if you see her drop low during elite mob packs you can panic-tp and heal her back up. the brilliant thing about adding her specifically to a summoner build, is that she shares aggro with all your other minions, which by default means she has much more survivability, as she no longer has to tank everything herself, and vice versa, her presence increases your army's survivability since she will take aggro off your other minions occasionally, leaving the rest of your army taking less damage. oh, and then of course there is the fact that she has a longer range of attack due to using a spear, so most of the time she will stand behind your skelly army and just dps without taking hits.

always wished the game would let you view the inventory of the summons - valk as well as the assassin's shadow master - just like you can with the mercs. Seems like that'd be an easy QoL tweak.

With a map hack that had the ability to inspect players, you could actually see their items! They were always some random rare(yellow) items.

I just found this channel and these skill breakdowns are amazing. My very first D2 character (before LoD was even released) was what I called a Dodgazon. So happy to hear that they have finally fixed getting dodge-locked. I never even realised it was a bug!

Making some progress on a cool Valkazon having fun with it. I like Harmony the speed aura is great for Valkyrie also I have a great 168%ed witch wild string got a 30 Ed rare jewel with some extra effects in their. The black spear Valk is a big fan of Amp damage.

Love the vid, I’m just finishing off my bowazon build, and I think a level 53 Valkyrie is possible! 20 hard points, +3 helm, +3 amulet, +3 gloves, +3 torch, +2 armour, +3 wpn, +2 shield, +2 rings, +1 belt, +1 anihilis charm, +1 from battle command, then +9 from grand charms. My Valkyrie is currently at level 43, and I could get to 47 if I moved my cta, spirit arachnids mesh and hoto from my sorc, but I don’t know how much more those extra levels really get me, especially for just a chaos run... maybe cows haha

I just had to come to this video because my Valkyrie was casting hydra when she got struck. I had to check my gear, and my merc’s gear and I was like, “it’s not coming from us, what does my valk have on?” 😂

I remember using some sort of program back in the days that allowed me to inspect other peoples gear. It funnily enough also worked for the Valkyrie and the Assassin summons, thats how i learned about it. Though never as spesific as this video. Would you do a video on the assassin summons also?

I imagjne a passive only build may be quite difficult to go through the campaign and leveling solo. And even in endgame taking on huge mobs must be a hastle. Fascinating i didnt know Valkryie was so complicated. But it makes sense since necromancer skeletons also had random gear.

With plus skills mind you, so if you have +10 you only need to invest 7, and so forth

@@GGMentor I thought I read somewhere that it needs to be hard skills for her to get the gear upgrade. Is that not true? Im playing Frost/Fire zon right now so I have a ton of + skills and that would change my allocations quite a bit :)

@@CommanderReplay hard skills is for the synergies. So valk gets synergies from, decoy, Evade, avoid, Dodge, penetrate, and critical strike. Only hard points affect these synergies. But the Valkyrie skill itself works fine off of Plus to skills

With a Fendazon it allows for plenty of points into her support skills, my favorite build but is only viable with a top tier rare spear weapon. With life steal if can just about survive infinite cows and kill them as fast as the surround you.

back in the 1.07 days there was a maphack out there that would let you view other players gear, it also worked for your valkyrie, shortly after that I got banned:p

Technically a hoto would get you one more right also you could have a Tira with +3 passives and 3 more grand charms. I’m not sure if you had those in your cube but when I summon my skeletons and stuff sometimes I’ll pull out my 3 extra summon GCs run pindle then I’ll put em back Does that javelin give +4 to passives ? Titans?

What's a good mix of the passives (synergies) to Valk in builds like mine that also utilizes bow skills. Meaning I don't have enough to "max" every skill.

At least lvl 17 valk is bare minimum to have a useful valk. Everything else is icing on the cake

They should allow you to see the equipment your Valk is wearing but just not be able to take it off or swap it … or better yet treat her like mercenary and let you equip her but if she dies she loses the gear or every new game she would lose it too so that people wouldn’t just throw godly gear on her

Not sure, something they didn't address in the change to impale. But I'm recent testing it also doesn't seem like she is slowing targets down which is another new feature of impale. Perhaps either A she didn't get her impale buffed,.or B she is not using impale.

Light-Gold Armor - normal, no enhanced mods other than + light radius. Dark Gold Armor - 24% Faster Hit Recovery Pale Gold Armor - 66-80% Enhanced Defense (saintly) Orange Armor - Attacker Takes Damage of 4-6 White Armor - +x defense based upon the slvl of your valk, and the clvl of your character. Blue Armor - chance to cast Frost Nova/Nova on being struck. Dark Red Armor - Poison length reduced by 75%. Red Armor - Think of this as 'of the ' armor. Huge +life bonus, and almost a double regen rate. This is the ideal. Valk Weapon Colors Blue - Chance to deal cold damage. Potential use of a cold skill on striking. Teal - Chance to deal lightning damage. Potential use of a lightning skill on striking. Green - Chance to deal poison damage. Black - Enhanced damage modifier. Life leech is also a possibility. White - Large bonus to AR. Think "of the fool's."

Shadow Master is like a house cat. She's going to do whatever she feels like, and sometimes it's Dragonflighting to a different enemy when you want her to tank. Sometimes she'll toss in a Mind Blast and randomly convert an enemy you're trying to kill. Sometimes she'll throw out a few Death Sentries and wipe out a whole pack of monsters by herself. You never know. It's definitely a lot more interesting to watch the SM do work, but if you want a reliable tank, the Valkyrie's better.

One thing I think could be cool for Amazon’s is if we could equip the Valkyrie but to keep it interesting and not completely busted, restrict her to RARE equipment at best. No uniques, no sets, no runewords. That way you get to have a cool consistent Valkyrie but no sudden bonus auras etc.
