This crossbow was a lot of fun for people. What some people would do is they would put a nef rune in it for knockback, and you would infinitely pierce the target with infinite amount of guided arrows and the target would never be able to attack because they were constantly being hit with knockback. It was it was always funny watching a feral Druid use this bow and do very well with it.

I crafted gloves with knockback that had 20% ias and +2 crossbow and bow skills. with a bit more stuff on them. That left the socket to be used by either a Shael to reach the next brakpoint, or something else.

The burrito bow (aka Buriza) was our ghetto end-game semi-viable weapon us plebs used until we got Windy back in the day! And not to mention those beautiful Barb ears drenched in tears after all those piercings off a single bolt. Too bad they took it away(infinite piercing)…. Though we all knew it had to happen eventually. Ah man those were the days eh! Great vid once again my dood!

Seeing you use bows/crossbows for a shape-shifting druid made me wonder how the transformation form interacts with "shoots fire/magic bolts/arrow" effect.

It doesn't, because it requires a regular attack which you can't do in werewolf or werebear form. You can only use werewolf and werebear abilities which supercedes the innate effect

I loved this weapon. 100 pierce GA was broken literally. It was fun while it lasted though. Before D2R I tried to make it work again as mainly a semi-budget strafer for PVM on LoD. I didnt have GG charms so i just used whatever AR, Life, Frw dex charm I have and some resists. First I tried hitting the 2nd highest IAS BP of 174 For ColossusXBow from amazonbasin with 2os G.Skull(15IAS 12Allres and 15IAS 15Allres) UppedBDK(80ias) with 15IAS 15Allres, Nosferatu coil(10ias), Highlord's(20ias), Ravenfrost, a shitty 4% Manaldheal and laying of hands(20ias) for a total of 175 IAS. I used fortitude as my armor. I still have shitty resistances after all that +all res jewels especially my poison res at about -35. Tested it on Chaos and cows and it slaps but it's slow😭. I replaced fortitude with Treachery to reach the next IAS BP(215) with both Strafe and other skills. My poison res is still -5 but whatever and I used MS more. The speed increase was very noticeable and closer to a bow and it still hits like a truck and felt much better to use.. I stuck with treachery in the end as I don't have enough resource to try Chains of Honor. I ended Maxing both MS and Strafe then used WWS socketed with EthEth on switch for PIs. Burrito has cold but it doesn't feel enough.

The name is actually Japanese Engrish for "Blizzard Cannon" - Burizaado Kyanon (Everyone just called it the Ballista because we didn't know how the hell to pronounce it when we were 14)

"When Blizzard made Buriza in .08 it was good. Then they decided it wasn't good enough. So in .09 they IMPROVED it." -Dota 1flavor text It had its fans even among the Blizzard North employee thus it was dubbed the "Blizzard Cannon" but this is possibly because it did cold damage and the guided arrow looked like a giant icicle charge. I remember my brothers and I had the exact reaction to the above text when it got buffed. One of the few unique that I personally wished they restored to its former glory against mobs, since it was indeed a fun ability and I don't think would be overpowered since we have gotten way better at the game.

Buriza is great for mid game, and has enough cold damage you can tough it out against physical immunes. normal baal i believe can drop this, among other usefull things

the actual name for this is "blizzard cannon", "buriza-do kyanon" is just the japanese version of that name. upgrading this makes this viable for even p8 hell games. not as good as windforce but it wont disappoint. its still a pretty good weapon even after the runewords...

I try to keep the ads on the lighter side, and often I won't out any at all if I think it's important to have an uninterrupted video. man IMO this bow (upgraded) is as good as WindForce, the atk spd is very nice, i usually put a ohm rune on it. In terms of damage (with ohm rune) a bit better than WF, the drawback is not having knockback and mana steal. Never played d2R just the 10 year old version.

I think one of the issues with buriza is it has a relatively low Speed cap. I believe windforce ends up much faster with correct gear

Oh yeah, you probably butchered the name. it's Kyanon, Kya Non. Very hard to pronounce, since English doesn't have a y after consonants... ever. I pronounce it by making the K sound and then saying 'yeah' with the sharpest 'A' sound I can manage and then end it with non, just like you would pronounce it in a word like Nondescript. It sounds weird as hell to English ears though. Oh and I don't know if that is a real word in a real language, with a truly correct pronunciation, I just pronounce it that way, so I could easily be pronouncing it wrong.

How did they nerf guided arrow again? Back in the day loved this for pvp, also the sound this made when shooting made it feel so beefy I can’t explain it

Guided arrow used to pierce and reacquire the target and pierce again up to five times. Which means any arrow shot with guided arrow would strike 5 times and you could spam them. This resulted in a hail of arrows assaulting the target constantly. They removed guided arrows ability to pierce l.
