I used to use a Hellslayer socketed with a Shael on my Fury Druid way back in the day. It worked pretty well for someone who never got rich in the game. It holds a special place in my heart, even if it's far from the most optimal weapon for a Fury Druid.

I have used this before on a barb at the beginning of a ladder and it does help to slow clear pits on hell with bad gear but I would not waste a socket quest or a zod rune in it. It does have a lower level requirement than IK weapon so it is useful until level 76 but IK weapon is so commonly traded for a cheap price you can switch to it and do way more damage with just a couple of other IK set pieces. But for those 10 levels between 66 and 76 this can be really nice. Love this series. Keep up the great work.

I have a perfect rolled Buriza crossbow that i upped for the fun of it, then shael socketed it. And the damage just cracked my expectations open like an egg. I have tried it out on my Fury druid, my kickssin and my strafezon. And all of them, kick, ass. Just sling goblin toes or something with CB and it wrecks everything. This is not a request, but if you like to make a video about an upped Buriza, i think it might be an interesting video.

Instead of hiring a Holy Might mercenary, I would have hired a rogue, and given her a Faith bow. At least the Fanatism aura will increase the attack speed a little... Anyway, thanks for the video. I'm keeping my ethereal Hellslayer, and wait to find a zod now! :)

The top weapon damage is pretty huge. My full IK set with might is only 5k Wirlwind. But that's all physical with 200 fire damage, with IK set I'm getting that and others. I usually throw this weapon away. I've misunderstood this far.

Yes IK set has a lot of non physical damage added like fire, magic, ice, ect

Was thinking this axe + enlightened RW + giant skull with 2 15 ias jewel on niche melee Enchantress. Merc is frenzy barb with hustle and plague for lower resist and fanaticsm. Skill go 20 to enchant, warmth, meteor, firebolt, and fire mastery

Two biggest shortcomings of the weapon, slow weapon speed and unstable damage output.

Do you know by any chance if the old game mechanics of the mace class weapon still in d2r?? By mechanic i mean the mace class gains a mutiply effect on damage when you add more points to the character strengh.

"Damage Bonus: This determines how you multiply the item damage by your stats to reach the actual damage. Each 100 points in that stat doubles your weapon's total physical damage. All Maces are 110 Str, while most other melee weapons are 100 Str. This grants Maces 10% more damage bonus from stats." Straight from the Wikipedia page. But keep in mind strength damage bonus(strength stacking) isn't really a viable way to bring up damage.

This must have gotten some kind of update. I just got one to drop with eth and a speed of fast. Yours says slow. No zod though, so maybe I'll put it in the box in the event one drops

Certain classes have buffs. Druid for instance gets an attack speed buff with two handers. Some classes get nerfs to attack speed with certain weapons.
