Me again, back at it with theorycrafting. “Balrog Barb” Two Flamebellows, Ormus’ w/ Inferno roll (socketed 5/5 fire facet), Magefists, Arachnids, Waterwalks, Mara’s, Soj, Raven Frost, either Flickering Flame or Shako. Skills, max the shouts and iron skin. Merc runs infinity lol

It’s mindblowing how Bad Inferno is. It Misses the Point of it’s Name. I dont know How they thought stretching it out would Solve the Problem. It needs More spread. Half of the Screen should be covered like teeth. Then the low dmg wouldnt be such a big problem anymore Youre welcome blizzard

It has far more wrong with it then just It's damage The way it applies damage is an issue. Only single target is an issue it should hit multiple targets. You have to stand still to cast it. The mana cost is way too high for the damage output.

As far as I know absorption is capped at 40% since the damage after reduction from resistances is reduced by your % abs + absolute abs and the amount is added as healing afterwards. So with this formula you could just get 60% abs to be healed by all fire damage, it would even be stronger the lower your fire res are.

They should make the standard of heroes give +3 to oskills and variables from +20 to 30% faster cast, block , hit recovery , attack speed, walk run speed and +100% to rune find!

7:23 Inferno does have some Synergies with the Druid Build, though I think it better suites either Sorceress or 2handed Assassin, for other gamers.

I was using this with Nords or Lightsaber .. depending on the area... or sometimes with 6 shael griz caddy ... I've tried 2 Baranar's stars .. I can't find the combo I like .. Inferno is just pathetic. I wish it would just become like a fire only conviction aura that requires no synergy. At least then there would be some utility in this weapon.

I agree very disappointing a little fire stream that takes 15 sec to kill one trash minion. You would think at the lvl you have it would tear thru enemies. It should have a huge spread ir something. Sword is nice looking.

inferno is awful. I wish it wasn't. They need to fix the damage (IIRC it's bugged, at least in the current iteration, 2.4 might have 'fixed' it), but they also need to add more to it. If I could elevator pitch to the devs I'd say that instead of increasing inferno's range to ridiculous levels they should thicken/widen inferno and make it more of a cone aoe channeling ability. That thin flame that barely tickles incoming monsters (who keep walking through it despite it being supposedly a stream of super hot magical fire) makes this spell really pathetic. I think if they could add a fire DoT effect as well like how meteor, blaze and fire wall work it would also help improve the skill. I'd love to see burn damage be a thing in D2r the way cold spells freeze and chill monsters, but that might be beyond the scope of a remaster. EDIT I haven't played around with arctic blast but it at least chills enemies it hits, and even tho it has a similar issue with tickle damage that status effect on monsters gives it more of a visceral 'weight' than inferno has IMO.

After the 2.4 patch hits act 5 merc's can dual wield but cant wield 2 handers as far as I heard, Like I dont know if you can still pick a 2 handed merc after the patch.
