I really hope unique items get updated,so many items that could be slightly tweaked into glory. Executioners justice casting decrep on strike instead of kill,maybe throw plus 20 to sacrifice as an oskill on there and make a dope new build option. Martyr barbs, flaming martyr druid,etc. Bonehew with recharging CE charges,or just make all the unique charge based items oskill items. Like hellrack for a fire sorc. God that would open up fringe build diversity so coolly lol.

@@whitekony1006 They wont update a single letter in entire armory of unique items, since they are pig headed and lazy. 99% of items are same from like 20 years ago.

Gentle reminder that a +20% mana also means a +20% mana regeneration, so this staff is wonderful to MF with mana hungry caster builds. Throw in a Tal Rasha's body armor + belt + amulet if you are a sorc and you easily reach ~234% MF to go throw some orbs at the poor fallens in the Pit.

Escaranda found an Eth one, along with having an Eth Skulders. The two alone provided 200% MF @ lvl84. - She's a Chromasorc who mains in Nova and uses ES. This staff is great for anything. The +2 skills just enough to keep her elemental rotation from dropping too much damage, but also making sure her procs are still potent. Well over 300% if I don the ole Harli's. - Cosmetically, she looks like she's in high elven armour, all green, silver and gold with a hood, and a staff, 'not of this world'.. 😅 Its sorta like the 'Husoldal Evo' of staves. Ppl throw that thing away without realising that a 180ED%> is a solid A2 merc weapon, especially on a Prayer merc; that can be upgraded to a Great Poleaxe. - Sometimes y'know, a weapon only needs to do its very simple function, really, really well. These two are just exactly that.

Drop rate is ultra low or something. I already found an MF set by the time this dropped. Including the oculus + shako.

This one might find some good use with the paladin using sacrifice too. Those mana mods definitely do beg for energy shield though. Seems like one maybe best used on the sorceress when she's been equipped with various items that can cast her abilities in retaliation when being struck

This item looks cool but I never seen it or found it. The magic find is underwhelming. No all resistance to help when you lost a shield. Like it's a no brainer to wear a shield and 1h vs any 2H weapons. This needs a rebalancing where you take survival or offensive capability. Unfortunately a lot of those runewords like spirit are little too OP and need to be rebalanced as well. Like some runeword are meant to be very hard to find but yet you see people wearing enigmas within the first week. Honestly need to get rid of the bots, and anything that's helping people accelerate these runewords. Spirit is just very broken on its own for very little runeword investment. The staff just needs one or two attributes more and put a 1.5 modifier on the magic fine per level something like that.

maybe some of these times need to be dropped chance changed. cuz maybe from when they had Diablo too these items were close to level cap which was level 60? and so you could tell for the expansion it goes to 99. what I'm getting at is they should just make better drop chances because the expansion items obviously perform better than the old Diablo 2 items. much like doombringer was a very nice sword and now it's just a laughing stock and nobody can find it

I found more occulus than this staff in my entire life 😀 . And i only found it in hell late game it' sad cause as you said it's a nice staff for Nightmare diffulty .

If you see this message, do you think you will be able to do a video about transferring your gear from Ladder to non-Ladder. When and how. Im starting to be anxious about all those HRS in my Ladder stash. Will they disappear when next ladder start?

@@13Piou12 it's really simple, on ladder season 2 launch day all of your ladder characters become non ladder characters. You shared stash becomes a temporary remove only stash that lasts for 4 months. After 4 months the temp shared stash will be replaced by the new temp shared stash and all items in the old shared stash will be lost

I have one in my shako, but I do switch over to the staff because it does give better mf than my primary which is arm of king loeric and homunculus which has an 'um', I'm only getting around 189 mf before switching to secondary which sits around 275

This staff is garbage. Seriously what was blizzard smoking when they made some of these uniques? You have unique items that are completely kick ass & then garbage like this. Change this item to higher skills, faster cast, some kind of resist, anything so we aren’t stuck into making the same build on every single character.

I don't think it's properly balanced against runewords like spirit, but it's hardly garbage. It is obviously a staff meant for a farming role. MF, +20 Mana after each kill, 20% max mana, and decent skills. I think it was clearly designed as an mf staff where you would have little to no issues with mana consumption. The huge boost to mana combined with the massive mana after each kill are designed to arrest mana issues while farming. It seems rather clear that is the intention for this staff.

How to make a video out of nothing at all. Long story short, in D2 staves totally suck in 100% of the cases.

actually there are specific use case scenarios for several of the staves. Ribcracker is a great melee weapon for druids Serpent lord has interesting uses for a starting kicker with massive negative defense and 100% mana leech Skull Collector has massive mana after each kill which and MF which makes it perfect for what it's made for "farming" so you can mf and not worry about mana consumption. Salamander is great for early Fire Sorcs, and easier to get than a perfect leaf. Yes most of these staves get outclassed by other items like spirit, but there are use cases for quite a few of them especially at early levels before spirit.
