This is a very nice item to drop for most classes in the game. Usually by the time you get it you've gone thru hell a few times already lol, and sexy resistance with gg block is a bonus

this is what i use on my zoo maul bear. the biggest appeal to this is the fade proc, while rather low it helps when mitigating the effects of a curse. this is an amazing shield for survivability, only rivaled by stormshield.

the best use i got for this was a fendzon that used an eth demons arc balrog spear, infinity holy freeze merc -how it applies to D2r is it is a nice counter to those knights in chaos casting lower resists or encountering a conviction pk mob of souls, exppecting to have max resists to fire cold and light before this procs, the physical is by far the desire from the proc(btw i really want this also as i am currently leveling a new fendzon on d2r)

Found one of these shields on Hell players 8 lower karust. Opening everything and killing some with a javazon. Magic find at 268.

Question for you my friend, somewhat off ropic... if you turn a shield into a Iron Golem does it gain the ability to Block? If not do you think they should be able too? I know Golems are weak skills outside of Clay Golem, IGs are only decent with Auras but I feel like on Paper this should make a interesting Iron golem as a Wall.

The way iron golems work is the item is equipped to the iron golem as gear. So I would like to say yes it allows him to block. However, act 3 Merc can wear a shield and can't block... And this is the only situation of a non player wearing a shield 🛡️ we have to use as a reference. And the answer is no
