D3 RoS: How to Farm Legendaries & Gear Up in 2.1.0 - Greater Rift + Bounty Method

Use your teleport ('T') to exit the GR and navigate from bounty to bounty and back to town only through the map ('M'). This way the portal to the GR will stay open and you don't have to skip the mobs in the beginning. You can also just teleport out of the trial and get your level 1 key this way. Apologies if this has been mentioned before and great tutorial nonetheless! :)

Hey ziggy, you can to out of rift and then travel from wp to wp for bounties and keep your tp up. When time is near for the GR you wp back to town by just opening map and click on town and your GR tp will still be there. So you don't have to skip those first few mobs but it's safer.

You can trigger the boss, just port out while it's spawning... then do not use town portal, only use the Map (M) come back when it's at 4:30, use town portal that's open, kill boss, easy.

Ever since the launch of 2.1 I have been doing this kinda style of farming except I didn't think of doing bounties while waiting for the timer to run out. I did this with a friends during the weekend and leveled a Barbarian from 1 to 70 in about 5 hours and got full Raekor set and other good stuff for him. It got a tedious after a few days but it was fun to get those set pieces. :)

ByKu Porting from the bounties will remove your GR port, so it's a bit of a pain in the ass. I find it much easier to just leave a few packs :)

ZiggyD Gaming You can use the (M) map to port back to town, thus not using your TP. This will reduce the overhead of having to save mobs at the start, but add the overhead of remembering that you ought to not use your TP back to town.

Are you serious ziggy? You don't have to do the "skipping mobs" part. Let me show you improved guide: 1) Kill everyting as fast as possible untill boss spawns and note the time. 2) Do your bounties but DO NOT use "T" button to teleport. Open your map and click where you want to tp. 3) When they time is right use your map to teleport to town (do not use the "T" key) 4)Bo back to rift and kill the boss. You do not lose your teleport to rift as long as you don't press T while doing the bounties.

You can actually Trigger the Griftboss, port out, go do your bounties (- teleport to town via pressing M instead of the portalbutton after bounties.) jump in your blue portal once you have

No risk of actually misscalculating the riftprogression %, or accidentally killing the mobs at the beginning that way :D Just DON'T port via T in bounties or you have to run to the boss again :D

You will jump more than 1 lvl on the rift . 4:30 or lower = 1 lvl up ( from lvl 1 to 2 to 3 to 4 ) If you do it faster , you gonna jump more lvls (from lvl 1 to 5 to 10 ) ,depends on the time. That means you gonna reach your maximum rift faster (spez. with a bad gear) . And only do like 3 or 4 rifts with the same stone . Thats it .

Did Blizz nerf this technique? I normally do Greater Rifts at level 25-27, but with this method I haven't gotten any legendaries at the low levels.

The first time you clear a special rift level and make personal progression, you get more legendarys. Means: You are a new toon. You even get legendarys on clearing grift 1,2, or 3. Lets say you cleared 3. Next time you get bonus loot is clearing rift level 6-7. The method in this video is based more on urband legends. I made all character classes this season and achieved to get them ALL full sets within one and a half week. Means 2 tww days per class to get nearly everything in the game. I didnt not do that by following this video, but by buying at kadalas when the pititimer is on my side.

AlexileSentry when you buy @ kadala, you better have a lot of blood shards around 600-700 to maximize your luck if your buying 1-3 items then going back to rifts to get blood shards you are not maximizing your luck of getting legendary or set items. it would probably take you 7-10 continuous buy-out using blood shards before you get a legendary or a set item. And when you buy you continuously buy just 1 specific item, lets say shoulders, it will take you 7-10 try's before you get a legendary or a set for a shoulder, after you got your item reset the game and gather again around 600-700 blood shards then just repeat the process.

verno711 Higher difficulty bounties = better chance for RRG and other legendaries. T4 was already fast enough for me since I usually farm T6. But yeah, you could do normal if you like!

yeah i get the boss to spawn then i leave the rift or sometimes i run far away from the boss while still being in the rift so i can watch the timer more carefully and wait until 4 minutes or less then kill it

Nope. The best way is to get your 3 legendary gems upgraded pretty decently and then go back to regular T6 rifts. You'll blow through them so fast that you won't even have enough time to spend all your blood shards before people are already clearing the next T6 rift. I've been running 3-5 minute T6 rifts and my banks slots are FULL of gear I haven't had time to fully sort yet, and on top of the massive loot, people are having a fun time blowing shit up because they feel quite a bit more powerful with the new legendary gems. A lot of people are starting to agree that Greater Rifts suck, too. They don't like running back and they don't like not being able to swap items while playing. It really is only for upgrading gems and then get the HELL out of my life.

If you do not finish before the timer runs out, you lose the chance to upgrade the key, but you still get to upgrade your gems. You can get an infinite amount of keys, so it's no big deal if you don't upgrade it.

Ueberrusher Nothing specific! I imagine Act 3 keep depths, core of arreat and similar runs are still the way to go. But I dont really hear much about it these days.

There's a few good options for M6 builds. Enforcer for extra pet damage, Bane of the Trapped if you're running Cull the Weak and Zei's Stone of Vengeance which is just a scalable Steady Aim.

Patch 2.1.0 is coming to Xb1 and Ps4 but no date yet I know of. If you are doing rifts and gambling with blood shard for slots you need then you are doing the right things!Everybody goes through streaks of bad luck. Maybe try and craft some stepping stone legendaries as well to get into higher difficulties.

What class/build should a noob like me play in D3 ? How are summoners in d3 ?

Well since the patch you've got multiple 'summoner' type classes. Barbs with ancients, Crusader with phalanx, WD with pets, DH with couple of pets and turrets, Wiz can summon 2 hydras and monk can summon double allies but the only real 'summoner' class is WD if you are looking for something like the D2 necromancer. To answer your question in general, summoners are completely fine right now. They do however require a lot of rare gear endgame though with low drop chances.

I don't get the point of this. Grift Guardian doesn't drop Blood Shards or even a forgotten, for Grift level 1 at least. Not even a leg for that matter. I hope it's not for the gold reward, b/c that would be very lame compared to just using the gold gem. Dunno. Will try it again on Grift level 2...

honestly the fastest way to get legendaries is to port out of the trial rift get the level 1 key and go as fast as possible through the rift and kill the rift guardian as fast as possible even if there is more than 4 minutes. My personal best amount for doing this with one rift key stone (consecutively using the same upgraded stone, got to about level 25) is about 14 legendaries in two hours.

Dane Schmidt which is insanely slow, by rushing normal rifts (the best way of getting legendaries) I get an average of 20-30 legendaries an hour, super efficient.

Dane Schmidt I meant t6 rifts, normal as in not greater.. I shouldve said regular rifts, I thought everyone ran t6 these days anyways. With ok gear you should clear a T6 rift in about 4-6 min, averaging 3 legendaries, so its not uncommon to be getting 5 legends x 10 min = 40 ish an hour, due to going back to sell, spending blood shards and what not.
