Thank you Ziggy for explaining the tool tip DPS v % modifiers.... I wasn't sure which was better here. I've been going with the % damage to a type of damage because I felt it increased my damage better then what should have been an upgrade as indicated by the tool tip. I'm glad to know what I thought was better actually was.

Great video. I've been struggling finding upgrades for my gear running T1 and it makes complete sense that just doing a higher quantity of runs on a lower difficulty will be good. Also did not know about the Act specific bounty rewards.

I'm not sure if you mentioned it, but the most efficient way of split bounty farming for a specific legendary from a specific act is to split up the bounties of that act between 4 people and just 'split bounty' that one act together over and over.

I got the cindercoat with a good fire-damage and fire related diminished cost and it's pretty amazing. It's godlike with clusters LFB and pretty fun in mass clearing with the multishot fire rune. Good guides dude keep up the good work.

I don't think everyone gets the individual bounty experience and gold unless they're in the area that the bounty is done. However, the experience and money given by Tyrael after completing an entire act is still given though, regardless of whether you're in that act.

Noticed in your description a 500k dps mark. I think that's important to point out, because while i don't think farming on Normal is all that engaging, and never do it, I'm okay with it if people need better gear for getting to higher difficulties. Once people can handle Torment, they should. I mean, it's easy to brush off leg potions and class specific sets as not a large portion of the high end item pool, but with all those more possible drops in torment, if a person is running around with 500-700k dps, and can handle torment 1 at least, they're still spending time alienating those even higher end items when farming in Normal. Bottom line...One of my biggest goals item-wise is to get the full Zunimassa set for the Fetish Army bonus. Not getting that spending time in Normal. :-)

Ziggy: I was wondering what would happen if you picked up a high-roll Kridershot (Elemental Arrow now generates Hatred) would your build change? Do you think the changing of elemental arrow (and all its runes) as a hatred generator is build-defining or would the dual 1hand crossbows still be the superior choice if you have all the support items (those bracers and shrine buffs as examples)? (just a theoretical question)

I'd also like to note, if it hasn't been brought up yet, that its equally if not more effective to split the party into one act, so 4 people doing a bounty each and then coming together for an instance boss fight for the last one. I mean, if you're all dead set on a certain act item, then this is definitely the way to go.

Great videos, thanks ZiggyD. I know this has been answered, but I'm new back to D3. What are the COSTS to running Normal over Torment? I think you get less XP, Gold and less chance for legs to drop. Furthermore, I think there's Torment-only legs that drop. Is that all you lose when bounty farming on Normal? And I guess the inverse to this is - once you get the items you want from Act-specific bounty bags, do you move on from Normal and farm higher to get the bonuses above? Lastly, I hear that bags give loot based on what hardness you open them on. IE, get it in Normal, but open it in T6. Is this true? Just trying to hash out the why's and when's I should farm each hardness.

Yeah the things you list are true. The legendaries that are T1+ only are each of the new class-specific sets, the follower items & the bottomless potions. So it's only a small number of things you are missing. And yeah, if you aren't interested in the bounty legs anymore then you should start doing T1+ as soon as possible. Rifts are best in that scenario. The rumor of loot based on which difficulty you open them is false! So just open them when you get them.

Each mat drops from a specific monster, boss or environmental object! So you need to figure out the one you want and then google where it specifically drops ;)

Just one more question due to the dps between, wizards and dh at the moment. So currently I have a par 242 dh very well equipped with 789,000 dps, and 32% more grenade damage with cluster arrow. And I feel I'm struggling. My hatered regenerator I'm using entangling shot to slow so my passive can hit harder. My entangling shot hits for maybe 500-800k and cluster hits 2-5 mil sometimes more. My wizard friend has 234k dps and his regular attack hot fir 1.8 mil and his arcane mode omg hits so hard t5 elite in seconds. Is it just wiz are still op and dh are just still a low tear. are dh ever going to be competitive with other classes. Or am I doing something wrong. Thanks. Nah I don't think it's worth checking the areas that other people clear. You'd spend a lot of time looking where your teammates had run with no real garuantees on legendaries and the real strength of split bounties is the speed at which you can farm the cache-only legs. If you end up running every zone anyway it's basically the same as farming together or solo in the end!

I usually go for Vault (Tumble) Tactical Advantage, Multishot Suppresion Fire, Preparation Punishment and rain of vengeance. Use Disc>Hatred>disc cycling to keep multishot going.

Magic Find has been SUPER nerfed. It's not worth using the MF gem at all. Use amethyst or ruby.

Serious question, I love Diablo 3 but what's the point of getting the best gear for your class when there's no challenge game mode to test it out. RoS added a bunch of ways to farm but no reason to farm them. Will they add incentive to get great gear in the future? Again, I love playing the game but farming for 3 days now has lost it's magic

That's a pretty serious point of discussion for every ARPG. The end game is getting better loot, there often is no 'why' for that. In the end it's satisfying to get upgrades and to get better at clearing harder content faster to... well... find upgrades! Sometimes doing something that makes no sense but is fun is worth it just for the fun ;) That said, Blizz will be adding in Tiered Rifts and Ladders in 2.1. Both will provide competitive motivation to have better gear. Get better gear and clear harder rift tiers faster than your friends for bragging rights. So that may end up being the 'why' you are looking for.

So if the cache loot is determined when it drops, how did I get a cache on my DH (normal mode) and open it on my Monk, but got a Prides Fall with STR and blessed hammer dmg? I'm still confused with this loot system sometimes.

There is a very small chance that the loot system will give you an off class or off stat item - it's designed to encourage you to play alt classes. It seems like a 1% of the time sort of thing. Nothing to do with the caches, it's just a feature of 2.0

Bounties are in adventure mode after you complete the campaign in the reaper of souls expansion pack! There is no best act to farm for a monk, it's personal preference really.

No benefit to doing so, the cache loot is determined when the cache is first given to you. Previously you could get imperial gems in higher difficulties but pretty sure they have already fixed that.

There have been reports on the forms that its only determined by level. So if you are level 70 you get the torment rewards.

Empowerment and Fleeting shrines last for an hour instead of ten minutes. Fleeting isn't a big deal, but Empowerment lowers cool-downs and reduces resource costs so having that for an hour is pretty insane.

I farm in a full group and i have to say, mac on T6 is the best way untill now to farm legendarys. we also do rifts/gambling on T4 but i never got a legendaryon gambling even after like 10k BShards. and in the rifts i get legendarys less frequently than when farming Mac in A1 since it only takes us like 5s to kill him on T6. :/

Yeah, though best legendary drops in general now are high difficulty rifts. Split bounties is great for farming the bounty only uniques though.

Maybe its because I'm a hater because I play late night and can never find a group but I cannot wait until they take the Nerf bat to this. Farming bounties on normal is fine even though there should be tiered rewards but getting rewards for a bounty you never participated in is kinda too much.

I honestly though they removed the ability to split bounty farm in the beta so I'm surprised it's able to be done now. I wouldn't mind if they nerfed it either as it's more fun playing directly with your buddies rather than splitting up.

I hate the fact that everyone is split farming. The entire focus of the game is to find item and doing split farming accelerates this process dramatically to the point of ridiculousness. People split farming are not truly earning their gear and it is basically an exploit. It is much more satisfying to find gear by playing the game normally. Split farming is essentially going to turn the game into easy mode for you as you can acquire an insane amount of legendary items per day.

The guide for items isnt great, nor is it entirely accurate, one of the necks can be found dropping in rifts and normal adventure mode.
