I seriously started tearing up at 4:09 That part when Coach Bombay looks back and realizes that the gang's gonna be okay now. They have each other like the ducks they are and he so is proud to have witness them growing up to the point where he knew it was time to let them go and fly without him. Til this day, I cry at that moment, every time.

So do I , and now it feels as if I'm coach bombay looking back proudly on my childhood and moving forward towards the future.

Kimberly Yu that part with Bombay in the stands watching over his team, was a beautiful moment, he was incredibly proud of them, that game was a tribute to their friend and mentor, Hans.

I grew up with these movies, the first two are more campy kids movies about friendship and overcoming adversity but d3 is about growing up, mortality and dealing with change. took me a long time to understand it.

I read that the original script for this movie was supposed to have the Ducks return to the Junior Goodwill Games, but in Europe. Disney said no and urged them to make a high-school flick instead. Not that I dislike this movie, but the first two are clearly the best of the three IMHO.

Even though this is not one of my favorites. That ending still gets to me. It was the perfect ending for the trilogy with Bombay walking away.

I disagree. 3 is my favourite.

@@retrostuff8976 I like the final match for the fact it's not The Ducks getting killed on the scoreboard like in the 1st 2 movies but was it even explain why Jesse Hall disappeared in the 3rd movie he's the only duck that was in the 1st 2 movies that didn't appear in the 3rd.

I love how the composer totally ran with warriors concept in certain parts to make it Native American sounding.

To this day, I've always gotten a kick on how the movie ended. Greg Goldberg, a goaltender converted to defenseman in Orion's new system, scores the unlikely wrister at the buzzer. I also loved the evolution of the Ducks in this film -- no longer resorting to flashy tricks or gimmicks, instead focusing on grounded hockey.

The first movie brought me into pee-wee hockey when I first watched in late elementary ~ first years in junior high. I don't think I ever stopped ice skating & inline skating since then.... even now. As they say, "once a duck, always a duck" ;)

The line is "Make him, make the first move". Because Conway is patient he is able to stand is ground. If a skater on a breakaway does nothing and you keep him in front of you it makes it much harder for him to do anything that could fake out your goalie.

As a kid, I never liked D3. I always thought it felt very "phoned in," and formulaic. But as an adult, I understand this was actually very unique compared to the first two movies. It's about life and death, the changes that come with aging, and embracing those changes if you're ever to move forward with your life. But it's also about the legacy you leave behind.
