D4 MRZR UTV First Look and Dyno Run

We do a complete walk around of the D4 MRZR looking at what we like and don't like about the machine. We then dyno it next to a RZR XP 1000 UTV.

I just picked up a MRZR D4 today! I love these videos you are doing on them! If you could do a maintenance rundown video, IE oil filters, air, diff fluid, etc I think it would be a hit as there is very little info about these. Thanks!

Hey fellow MRZR owner. I bought mine in Dec 23 out of Albany, GA. I had the very same problems you had with yours, and used same solutions. My wheel bearing blew apart and broke an axel. Finally found a replacement that was perfect from UTV Source in SC. Part # UTVS500882717 It's a GSP XTV 4107072 It appears to work on all 4 wheels. As for spare parts, the DoD is NOT selling them domestically, as they still sell them to allies. I know this because I am about to retire from the DoD and I tried. I'm setting mine up for overlanding. It's already been to VA, WV, TN, AR WY, SD, ID & MT this year. Love it. I'm in PA.

Wow that is good to hear that it is getting around and you are enjoying it. I don’t personally own one but my close friend has it and have been able to become familiar with them. Thank for the parts heads up I’ll pass that info along. Also getting as far out here as Idaho and Montana, that’s a big deal. I know my buddy and I would love to know when you are back in the area. 😁👍

The backward vent gills on the “hot side” are probably an attempt at keeping mud and stuff going up from the tire from clogging the vent exit

So this one is not mine but we went down to California to get it through the auction. Not all parts are available but there are alternatives available. The MRZR buy sell group on Facebook is small but helpful.

I do believe they started producing these before there was a General model. And Rangers were to utility focused back then.

hey, great video you did here and very informative. waiting for mine to be delivered tomorrow and go through it. is there a specific model of primary clutch you used from the Ranger? i would like to buy one just in case. had to replace the primary clutch on a carryall 1700 diesel and it was hard to find as well. thanks for the video.

So we are figuring that out. I don’t know ow for which clutch it ended up with but we are now having issues with blowing belts. So I don’t know how to answer your question yet. We are all learning on the Mrzr group page on face book of you want to join that.
