One of the 90s BEST "every-man" hip hop trio. For those that dont know, not every hip hop head emulates viilence and crime. These cats represented mostly everybody we knew in NYC. They WERE the norm: cool, down to earth, fun, full of confidence and intelligence but not flashy. Thats hiw it was. Like, you could picture yourself in the background of EVERY Bush Babies video cause...they showed real scenes.

Was cleaning out some stuff in the attic and my cassette single of this song popped out of one of the boxes. I don't think I've thought about this song in years but after finding the tape, I had to come listen again. Loved this style of hip hop growing up. Always wanting to visit New York during this era but just a kid so had to wait. I know when I do I'll be playing jams like this on my headphones with a surreal vibe pretending I'm in that era having a blast. Someday 🤞
@TheHumanBallsack
@TheHumanBallsack 2 жыл бұрын
That's exactly what I wanted to do as a kid here in the UK. I visited NY for the first time in 2007 at Thanksgiving, then again with my wife ten years later in 2017... I put my headphones in and bumped Mobb Deep "The Bridge 94" as I walked across the Queenborough Bridge on a cold December evening and I was transported to another era in an instant! What a feeling..
