Technically the Golden Age or Classic Era of HH starts in around 84 or so w/ the advent of Def Jam Records and RUN/DMC. It lasted from the mid-late 80s to the mid-late 90s. But 93- 95 are pivotal years for that era I agree. 93 til infinity

No. Shit WAS better back in the day. And I mean talent wise, being musically diverse. Hip Hop was born of various elements of existing genres. That was the beauty of it. It could be funk, r&b, heavy metal, jazz and on and on. It restricted its limits and vision, that's why it's boring and tired now. Guns, drugs, hoes, money and bragging ALWAYS had a part in rap.
