Actually, he had 1 day to prepare this song because the producer of this show had made changes to his original song not to his liking. So he decided to change to this song Dalabengba instead. He worked late into the night with the musicians to make changes to the score to the way he wanted it - singing in ( different voices to represent the different characters in their songs story. In an interview he said he knew he was taking great risks but he’s a risk taker and like to challenge himself. That he wasn’t going to compromise his interpretation of any music that he chooses. So very glad it turned out exceedingly impressive is a tribute to his talent and creativity.

Hey Tré. Zhou Shen is one of my favorite performers. If you go back to Singer 2020, episode 8, click the gear to the right of the CC box at bottom right of the Singer screen, you can select subtitles, like English. The song is more enjoyable if you know what he is singing. And you can get the 2-3 minute intro before he sings. By the way, Dalabengba is kind of like Shrek in China. Enjoy! And yes, he is adorable! He did voices and singing in animated films before he debut on The Voice in China in 2014. In Dalabengba he portrayed 4 characters.

I am so glad that you love my grand baby - LOL i am old enough for that - he is my precious one - Thank you very much - you should see his newer shows he performed with many artists recently this year, they were all extraordinary. This is a childrens anime about a young night who fights a dragon to rescue a princess - the king marrys them the ending is they have a baby is the closing sounds. This song was created for a computer generated song but of course Zhou Shen did it flawlessly. The long tounge twisters are the names of the dragon and the young night .

Zhou Shen is choked up to tears after this song when both were answering questions about why they sang this song. I wished I could remember the name of this show it is similar to the singer which brings professional singers together in collaberation on the songs they sing together.

The whole song is a tongue twisters because the characters name is too long. Dalabengba is a boy that come to rescue the princess because she’s been kidnapped by a dragon (the operatic voice). So he played as the narator (girl voice in the beginning), dalabengba, dragon, king (deep uncle voice), and himself

You should check out him singing Disney’s “Let it Go” in 9 languages. Also I love him singing “Monster” and I believe it was also from the Singer 2020 show. There’s also the song Da Yu (basically Big Fish in English) which shows off his operatic voice a lot. It’s not as upbeat but it’s really good in my opinion. Da Yu is one that has been performed a lot and he even performed it on Singer 2020.

It's one of those songs that you find yourself smiling all the way through. As he sings in so many languages, he could have released this in different languages and let other countries find him. Most of the Competitors on Singer know each other well. Super Vocal Boys and Zhou Shen appeared on Super Vocal, and Hua Chenyu and Zhou Shen have appeared on Ace v Ace together. Speaking of Hua Chenyu, you may quite like his duets with Su Shiding on "Nanping Evening Bells" 😮 or "Perhaps Love". 😍 Zhou Shen HAS done Frozen in multiple languages. There are some fun videos with tiny Zhou Shen and 6 foot plus hunk Ayanga (who also appeared on Super Vocal and was a member of Super Vocal Boys first incarnation... when they sang "Queen Medley" with Dimash). Zhou Shen and Ayanga had a lovely interaction.
