Tec-9 is a cheaper version of an UZI. Tec-9's are notorious for breaking after firing for sustained periods of time and jam frequently. They are in fact pretty cheap for a 9mm Autopistol. The UZI is superior in every way except unit cost. The UZI has more range, a higher ROF, and is more reliable but is rather expensive for a SMG but the MP5 is superior than both.

The thing that is Tec-9 is probably the best spawn weapon, if the player's got a decent aim! But with that said, Magnum is also preferred by a lot of players since it's damage rate is considerably high..
