4:54 - That version of Eleanor has the promotional graphic for the film. After the filming of the original film, H.B. Halicki, the writer/director/lead actor/stuntman, took the smashed up Eleanor to premieres at theaters and had that graphic painted on the side to advertise the film. In fact, Eleanor made a brief appearance in Halicki's followup film The Junkman. After the remake became a hit, the movie was original film was released on DVD which featured Eleanor. Apparently, she still runs, even with as smashed up as she got in the original film. Also "The Barris Car" is actually just the car from The Car (1977), but they probably just use "The Barris Car" to avoid copyright issues an not have to pay royalties to Universal Studios (naming the car after the guy who customized the car for the production).

True story about the 68 Mustang GT used in the Steve McQueen movie "Bullitt:" Ford was a sponsor of the movie, so the good guy had to drive a Ford. The villains were in a 68 Dodge Charger. The movie went through 5 Mustangs, because they kept breaking down during the chase scenes, while they only used ONE Charger. Also, they had to put a suppressor in the Charger engine because it kept catching up to the Mustangs. :D A couple of stuntmen and Joey Chitwood (in charge of the stunts) wrote about it in various books. :D :)

This store is like a candy store for die cast collector. I wish we have something like this. The Barrister car is from the movie ‘The Car’ which is about a possess car like Christine. As for the V8 interceptor I like the regular version on this as the weathered version seems to be overdone.

I definitely agree, as Roger Corman pretty well 'patented' the title when the movie was made. Even the recent 'Death Race' reboots have to pay Corman a percentage still for merely using those two words together. Too bad there isn't a way to skirt around it though like 'The Barris Car' or those Robbie The Robot knockoffs. "Mechanical Action Toy".... I never watched Lost In Space - and even I know that's Robbie The Robot still! LOL
