Here I am, after more than 10 years... I gotta confess I'm not even a huge Daath fan, but this song in particular changed the way my teenage self played electric guitar.

I come back here every now and again, I just happened upon this as a teenager after I first started playing guitar. Pops into my head every now and again and I've realized that it's never going away. It's the only Daath song that even like tbh.

Man, it's been over 10 years since I first watched this. I kind of played guitar at the time. I messed around with it a bit, learned some Metallica riffs, but never dedicated myself to playing. This video is what got me to start taking it seriously. I kind of fell out of playing at around 18. I never fully put it down, but sometimes I'd go months without jamming. I picked it up and began to play regularly again over the past year or so. Man I've missed it. I still need to learn this song though...

@DAATHOFFICIAL2 жыл бұрын
How so?
@dougleydorite2 жыл бұрын
@@DAATHOFFICIAL it was during a pivotal point in life where I decided that doing things like going to college and pretending to like team sports was not for me. This was during a time where you find a good performance on KZbin, you listened to it over and over. It introduced me to Daath which progressed into an addition to the music that led me to many other findings, which includes NTM, and Colin Richardson which continues the trend that just keeps on adding to my identity. Point being; I don’t know if I would be at the same spot if it weren’t for this video. Hopefully that wasn’t too incoherent

Just throw in some diminished arpeggiation and have the other guitar harmonize with you on that part, you'll sound like a million of these bands.
@crusTodd6 жыл бұрын
Wel..., Emil has a bit more on the ball than "most" of this style of player out there. He has a pretty complex understanding of theory and harmony. I don't think he's doing this style much currently either.
