I so much agree, far too much emphasis is to play hard to get and hide and seek and there are so many mistakes that come from that (we all love the game but sometimes you lose the thing you most love because of it) sometimes the other person feels that their love is only one sided because the other is playing hide and seek so they silently walk away heartbroken. or as in the drama the empress spends so long not expressing her love that she has caused the emperor distress and also if she had express her love earlier their love would have been at a different level and would have been far richer and now she has left it right to the point of them never expieriencing the richness they could have had before the emperors death.

Empress ki is the best historical drama ever.The characters of Ha ji won, Joon moo and ji chang wook are best. The love between Wangu and syngyang is endless also the deep love of Taghon towards syngyang is heart breaking. This trio sad love story is unforgettable. The deaths of Wangu and his friends and taghon are saddest. Expression and look of Ha ji won is amazing. In short this drama is masterpiece. Supporting actors are also well especially Tal Tal, Bayan and Tanasri .Empress ki story is unforgettable

Whenever I think about Love, JCW's face as the emperor will cross my mind. Nothing can beat Ta Hwan's devotion towards Yang. She was his lord. And maybe that is why no matter how many more series I watch, books I read, I can never ever move on from this story.

Between Wang Yu and Ta Hwan, Ta Hwan deserved Yang so so so much more 😭😭 Also, I might be a little bit biased here (but I don't care), because Ji Chang Wook is one of my favourite actors and my favourite Korean (Ah.. my heart 🥰❤️😭)... But I don't think I would have been this emotionally invested and scarred for Paeya, if anyone else had played this character. The Emperor's love for Yang was so so so real that I could feel it in my bones, that was the intensity with which JCW acted. His work in this show deserves awards and praise beyond words can express.
