Not only Dhaka, there are also other attractive places in Bangladesh, like Cox's Bazar, one of the longest sea beach in the world. Saint Martin's Island, a coral Island. Chittagong, the second largest city famous for ship breaking yard, World war 2 cemetery, Mezbani beef, Cornofuli river ( with tunnel and bridge), Shadhinata complex amusement park etc. Sylhet, the city of lakes, waterfalls,canals, hills and tea gardens, Rajshahi the cleanest city and the silk city in Bangladesh, Bogra and Naogaon where you will find out ancient archeological sites, and Sundarban, the biggest mangrove forrest in the world, etc. I advice you to visit these places too, if you have time and opportunity.

We pay more for the beer in Norway, than in Bangladesh. My wife and I where on wacation in Dhaka 4 days ago, for 3 days, We stayed at Conventina Lake suites, Gulshan2. It was actualy quiet there in the evenings. Unfortunately it was election the last day, so every thing was closed. We found Dhaka to be a little bit more quiet than Mombay and Delhi, and not any cows or goats tied to a fence in the midle of downtown, without any possibility to move, terrible.. However the polution and air quality is much worse in Dhaka If i ever get back to BD i think I will go to Cox basar or sylhet.

I find Dhaka very overwhelming because of high population density, also pollution & Chittagong 2nd largest city in the country but is quieter than Dhaka & has many greenery but. Despite of millions of people In the capital city but still has many many dean clean places with greenery. Other hand Rajshahi is much cleaner & more organised also lots of than Dhaka

Stayed in Banani, checked out the express highways and rode the new metro. I usually go direct to Sylhet because I have family there but i'm so glad I experienced modern Dhaka. It really is a day and night difference.

Gulshan, Banani, Baridhara, Mohakhali, Niketon, are part of Greater Gulshan area of Dhaka & classed as an prime modern area, there’s plentiful of restaurants & cafes of international standard’s. Many 5 star hotels, shopping malls etc. Apart from this Gulshan enclave, there’s many more are similar in terms and of cleanliness & well-maintained such as cantonment, Mirpur cantonment, Dohs, nikhunja, nirjhor, Jolshiri, Rupayan City, dia bari, purbachal Newtown, shere-Bangla-nagar & more etc but real beauty lies outside of capital city❤❤

11 dollars for a beer, that's 5star hotel price for you! If you go to the local bars its way cheaper. There are quite a few nice bars around Banani and Gulshan. And if you are feeling adventurous, try a dive bar in the older parts of the city, like in Dhanmondi. I work in a small town of Bangladesh. A bottle of hunter costs about $2.50 here.

I believe every shopping mall in Dhaka has a food court. The largest food court is in Jamuna Future Park Shopping Mall in Bashundhara and Bashundara City Shopping Mall in Panthapath, Karwanbazar. It is recommended that you try old Dhaka hazi biryani, Hanif biryani nanna, in Nazira bazar and some other non-branded foods that are truly delicious, even though I tried them last in 2016

As an expatriate in America, a lot of private places here in the US prohibit filming. It is not to be taken personally. The reason for the spike of the beer price is obviously because Bangladesh is a Muslim country so they VAT the hell out of liquor to dissuade local people from drinking. From personal experience, I can tell when one is exhausted and tired all these minor issues get magnified regardless of country. Stay safe bro. I guess you guys were confused with two things. First about the price of the beer, Bangladesh is actually a muslim majority country, so any alcohol that is imported or locally brewed are rare and heavily taxed. Also, Bangladesh is the country of stark contrast between the rich and the poor, you will rarely find such huge gap between the rich and poor. The rich are very rich and the poor are very poor. But overall, cost of a modern living in Dhaka is actually not so low, and is actually quite high compared to a lot of asian countries. And the second one is about the replica of nike or addidas, Bangladesh is actually the top exporter of readymade garments to the west. So most of the brands that you see in the west are actually made here because of the relatively cheaper labor costs. So the things you thought as replica are most likely not replica, rather the leftover original products of those brands that are sold in the local market in a cheaper price directly from the garments they are made in.

Not confused; the beer we expected to be expensive but not more expensive than literally everywhere we have ever been in the world lol and doesn’t matter to us if the clothes are replica or not but you can normally tell by the quality. The trousers we bought are defo replica. Thanks
