Seasons 4-5 are great but not as great as seasons 1-3. Seasons 6-9 are good despite having a couple duds in them. Seasons 10-11, while having a few good episodes are okay to meh but the amazing animation is super distracting. Seasons 12-14 are those seasons where I’m not mad. I’m just disappointed. Also happy 25th anniversary to one of my favorite NickToons.

huge spongebob fan here who enjoys the modern stuff way more the classic episodes. (though im kinda mixed with season 6-8) i thought this video was ok but it was kinda annoying sometimes, i get you watched like only 4 or 3 episodes from each season so i dont really blame you on watching a certain episode that was actually bad, after all thats kind of the point of a review i guess. but i think because you liked season 10 and 11s episodes you should check out more of those episodes and maybe watch the rest of the post sequel stuff as well! i guess most of the time your right about some episodes being bad or good but some arent that bad, kinda wanna go over some stuff that i didnt like tho. gonna be a BIGGGGGG yap session right here so bare with me. i dont like how high of a pedastal you've put the first three seasons and the movie on, it feels like because most of classic spongebob is good you think that modern sb should be at the same standard, so if a episode of newer spongebob make a bad episode, that episode could most likely tilt the boat and that feels harsh to me. the characters are not even that bad, theres some who are mid but you seem to get annoyed by how they act wayyyyyy too much. its not like in modern sml where when someones annoying on there like how most of the characters act, cuz its not fucking unbarable to watch, i like how the characters act nowhere days even better than how they use to. i especially love plankton and karens dynamic way more. its most definetly better than karen critizing and ridiculing everything plankton does in the older seasons. i dont see the problem with the animators making more expressive animation, i really dont see the "meme making attempt" thing here, they geniunely seem like theyre just having fun with it, its not annoying and its not possible to be too expressive with any of these, since its a fucking cartoon. a episode being a big reference to a older episode isnt and should not be a bad thing. the bitching about that is really annoying. i dont care if it references old shit or not, it just matters if the episodes good. which i will give you this, squidiot box and pl-1413 are bad/ok episodes, but still its annoying for you to express every god damn waking moment that its not like how the older seasons did it. i find that whole thing at the end kinda corny cuz its basically what i said before with the high pedastal thing. i dont think you dont like it cuz its new, i think you dont like it cuz its not consistent which i feel is unfair, i know you know theres good things still being made but its just really negative and just a statement that doesnt seem to come to an end. also a part i really didnt like about this video is the fact that you even bitched about like 1 or 2 seconds of silence like please shut up please its not that deep dude. this isnt me saying that you hate modern spongebob but you dont seem to not be very impressed about it atleast with the post sequel episodes, but i mean thats just my opinion i guess.. and ill give you this, atleast you watched it and didnt just say what you heard from other people about it, so good on you.

Honestly I really love season 4 5 and 6. Season 4 especially is basically on the same level as 1-3 in my opinion with hillariously memorable episodes such as Krusty Towers and Mrs Puff you're fired. Season 5 and 6 definitely have a few outliers but on the whole I think they're very good too with Friend or foe, Two faces of Squidward, Pest of the west and Sand Castles in the sand. Season 7 is definitely where the show completely fell off where even the few good episodes were no where near as good as the previous seasons. Season 9 and 10 slightly improved but basically everything past the second movie is just loud and over enegetic and overfilled with references.

My quick thoughts on post-movie SpongeBob (these are all just my opinion): Season 4 - Many episodes feel right out of season 3, and even the weaker episodes are still mostly watchable Season 5 - Generally watchable for the most part, but the bad episodes are starting to get worse. Season 6 - Jumps of a cliff in terms of quality compared to the last few seasons. There’s at least a few good episodes, but the bad episodes are starting to become actively unwatchable. Season 7 - Very similar to season 6. The good episodes are slightly better, but the bad episodes are slightly worse. Season 8 - Most episodes are at least tolerable, but even the better episodes tend to be bland and dry (with only a few exceptions). Season 9 - The first half of the season has a lot of extremely bland episodes, but a good chunk of this season is actually okay. Sponge Out of Water - The disjointed story makes it hard to enjoy this as a coherent movie, but the writing in the 2D scenes is very much up to par with the golden era, though the jokes in the live-action scenes are hit-or-miss. Season 10 - I have the least to say about this season. There are barely any episodes I’d call truly bad, but there’s also barely any episodes I’d call good. It’s very clear that new showrunners took over starting with this season, and the humor is starting to change for the worse. Season 11 - There’s enough good/okay episodes for me to give this season a pass, but a good chunk of this season is very bland, albeit a different kind of bland than the previous seasons. Season 12 - This season is essentially made up of the worst aspects of season 11. A vast majority of this season is hard for me to watch, and bright spots are few and far between. Sponge on the Run - There’s a weird empty feeling about this movie that’s hard for me to describe. This movie came out shortly after Stephen Hillenburg passed away, and it seems - at least to me - that this took a toll on the production in terms of morale. There’s at least a few good lines, the Kamp Koral scenes are fine (this movie probably wouldn’t be nearly as hated as it is if the spinoff didn’t exist), and there’s nothing I’d call actively bad, but the story is half-baked, and there’s not much overall that makes me want to rewatch this. Kamp Koral - Disclaimer, I’ve barely seen anything from this show, but from what I’ve seen, this show is extremely bland. Focusing a show on slapstick alone isn’t always a good idea, especially if the low budget prevents the animation from being good. The Patrick Show - Again, I haven’t seen much of this show. From what I’ve seen, this show takes some of the worst aspects from the later SpongeBob seasons and dials them up to 11. Modern SpongeBob often feels like a completely different show from what it once was, and the Patrick show (a completely standalone show with its own cast of characters, but with the same writing style as modern SpongeBob) is proof that this style doesn’t work (for me, at least) even as its own, isolated thing. Season 13 - Continuing a trend that started in season 10 and has gradually increased, this isn’t really a “SpongeBob” season as it is a “Ren-&-Stimpy knockoff that uses SpongeBob character designs and voice actors.” Most of the episodes in this season are flat-out bad. Saving Bikini Bottom - Basically a below-average extended episode of season 13. Take that as you will. Plankton: The Movie - Something that really surprised me about this movie is that it actually felt like a genuine SpongeBob movie, and not just a generic slapstick compilation with SpongeBob characters. The jokes are hit-or-miss, and the songs aren’t great (at least in my opinion), but the story this movie tells is both unexpected and something that makes you think “if they ever made a standalone Plankton movie, *this* is what it should be about.” The first two movies are still better than this, and I’d still only give this a 6/10, but if later seasons of the show were to keep the same writing quality as in this movie, then I’d be fairly satisfied with the state of the show. I’m not holding my breath, though

Fun fact: If Plankton debuted during the Downfall Era (Season 5-8) then he would've been a one off character. The only reason why he even appeared for more than One episode because of how much episode ideas they had for him. And Season 5-8 usally if not always made new characters only to never use them again (Like Stainly)

I always think its interesting how post movie and post sequel have an opposite pacing problem, post movie is incredible boring, and sometimes comes to a complete halt for lame gags I call "anti-jokes". While post sequel is an endless barrage of visual gags with very little substance, theres no room to breath it's almost brain rot.

@@utopiasonlinetrue man. I’m just disappointed with these seasons. At least most of the episodes from seasons 6-8 kept the same animation style that seasons 2-3 had and didn’t have lots of exaggerated animation in it.
