As a Lsu die hard I am thankful for men like Dabo here. He sees a biget picture than football and when you take the time to listen to him it shows. I absolutely with out a doubt think he should start being put in the conversation as the greatest coach to stand on the college football sidelines. He is a true leader and I really appreciate how it's not all about football he brings up building men. Taking what he is given such as young men freshmen in college and when they are done at clemson and on to their next adventure the are better and not just on the field they are better at being responsible great men. And I also belive right now they are the best team in football and the most deserving of having the number 1 spot. I've listened to alot of folks talk about stuff that coach dabo mentioned like they play in the acc and their schedule is as tough but the truth when they are given the chance they have a phenomenal record against other conferences also. And I belive Lsu looked at Clemson when we needed a new coach and we took a page out of the book they wrote with hiring the underdog not so popular choice and I hope other schools who are in need of a coaching change do the same. I hope we get the chance to play in the national championship and whoever it is they are all deserving to be there and alot of us down here on the bayou are not sleeping on clemson or ohio state or Oklahoma. I just wanted to share my opinion on Clemson's coach and his greatness at football but past that I admire his character and approach to what these young men will be when football is over. Sam Shrivastava Coach Bryanf said that “ if I’m smarter than my assistant coaches I don’t need them.” He also said he wanted a coach like him that had ambition and a desire to win. Coach Brysnt used to make phone calls trying to get them head coaching jobs or NFL jobs . Coaches are missionaries for the most part and move where the money is. It is hard to tell if Dabo is that good of a coach until he has to rebuild his staff a couple of times . If he does that and continues to win he is a good coach but right now he may have just lucked up and found some really good coordinators . If you recall Dabo was fired from the University of Alabama . The team was poorly coached and was under the NZcAA gun for violations . Dabo was WR coach I believe and can you name an outstanding Alabama receiver before Julio Jones arrived? You probably can’t because they sucked at throwing the ball.

The End Is Near It doesn’t matter WHY Clemson’s schedule is easy. We’re not out here actually blaming Clemson themselves for having a weak schedule (i.e. we know schedules are made years in advance and we know it’s not their fault that the ACC had a rough year). But at the end of the day, Clemson’s schedule was weak, and strength of schedule is important for ranking/evaluating teams. This isn’t the NFL, where teams play roughly the same strength of schedule. Dabo doesn’t really have much grounds to complain here anyways; sure, it might be frustrating that Clemson’s schedule prevented them from being ranked higher, but on the flip side, it’s also an advantage to play an easier schedule from a health/injury perspective. Plus, everyone knows Clemson is good.

I'm impressed with all the comments showing awareness for the influence of television contracts and an eventual championship selection process. The SEC of course, has an excellent conference, but many appear oblivious to how much ABC (aka ESPN) and CBS in past years assist the SEC. They even resort to spin when a marquee SEC team loses. When South Carolina beat Georgia, ABC (ESPN) distributed notorious SEC shill Paul Finebaum throughout media to put on a good face, while saying Clemson was 4th or 5th at best. Dabo's right... it's selective amnesia, because once it becomes obvious you can't get Clemson out of the top 4, then suddenly you hear the respect for Clemson, which was the real truth all along.

The problem people have with Clemson's weak schedule is how easy it is to get to the big show. They are a very good team, but have little wear and tear on the team, whereas the other teams have scratched and clawed their way to the playoffs and in my opinion had a harder time getting to the playoffs. Lets say team A plays 10 ranked teams, just for fun we'll say they play 2 OOC games against eventual power 5 conference champions--- now team B plays literal high school teams all year, then wins 2(two) playoff games, beating team A, to become champs. ETN played 4 top 70 run defenses he averaged 4.1 ypc and had only 4 tds total in those games. Dobbins faced 9 top 50 run defenses and averaged 6.1 ypc had over 1400 yds and 15 rushing tds in those games... against the best he’s seen ETN was average. Against the best he’s seen Dobbins was elite. ETN was average against Bama as well. Bama had no pass rush and was super beat up in the defensive backfield last year. Clemson has a super inflated chest and head that’s about to get popped, hard.

Their schedule was trash tho this year. No denying that. The ACC is a "power 5" conference but the American Conference was tougher this year top-to-bottom Memphis, UCF, SMU, Cincinnati were all top 25 this year. Whereas Clemson is the only ranked team in the ACC (UVA has no reason being #24 right now. Only cause the ACC has an automatic bid to the orange bowl. you cant make reference to teams that "were" top 25. it's where they finish. Yes the AAC this year has more well rounded teams. If you took them head to head from top to bottom matchups I still think ACC would win 80% of the games. But not by much...minus whoever plays Clemson, UVA, and perhaps VT...the rest would be toss ups. The difference though is the ACC has the coaching talent and still draws in top recruits. The ACC has not been terrible forever. Just the last 2 or 3 years. They are in obvious mass rebuild mode. But if you look at this season as a whole you have teams about to rise back up. UNC, VT, UVA are all good teams and one of these will likely step it up next year. and FSU should show life again starting next year. So sure AAC may have more ranked teams but They will never and could never replace the ACC as a power 5 conference.
