Syracuse is underrated, there are plenty of teams that shouldnt be in the top 20 and yet somehow are there. Years where the acc has been strong and Clemson won out and deserved a spot whereas Oklahoma who had a weak schedule when they went and got shit on by Clemson. It's hard to argue but if Clemson didn't have to rely on Chase Brice, that game could have been completely different, but then again Syracuse is not a bad team and its outrageous to say that. It's hard to say at this point but to say one team is bad because their conference is not performing well is ridiculous. With the ACC as weak as it is, its hard not to put a team in there who will win their conference in a playoff position.

Wow what honest insight from a coach...almost premonition like. You can tell from this interview and others that he has a special love for Kelly Bryant but needed to do what was best for the team. We know that Trevor Lawrence is a special player but it did not hurt that he was throwing to, quoting Mark Packer " a bunch of Frisbee catching dogs." In the National Championship game THAT helped to make Lawrence look really good. The receivers caught nearly everything that he threw that was even close to them.

Well given the fact they got dismantled last year by Bama, I believe it showed Bryant's weaknesses. Hes no Watson. If they continued with him this year the same thing would happen again this year. For whatever reason Bryant has a confidence problem and his long ball is sub par. Lawrence is proving that he can be that elite qb that Clemson is sorely lacking since Watson's departure. Hes not a runner but he's proving that hes a good decision maker and can make good snap desicions. This kid is only a freshman, he'll continue to improve. His biggest test will be Bama in the playoffs.

They are signing 4 star after 4 star like they have not done in years. And as you know, 5 stars are rare, so even Alabama is made up of mostly 4 stars. Not only that, but Eli Drinkwitz is a big boy coach that has a limitless ceiling when it comes to football genius and IQ. By next year, I expect Mizzou to be in the mix with Georgia and Florida. So yeah, Kelly Bryant was absolutely horrible, but that matters not. The EAST will have a reemerging challenger soon in the University of Missouri.

Bryant 129 snaps- 2 TD Lawrence 123 snaps- 9 TD And got people making the argument the 2 TDS are better? Lo fucking l, this can’t be real. Bryant 18 starts, 16 TD passes. Do you want to know what Boyd and Watson TD passes were after 18 starts? 42 and 39 respectively, making Bryant not even half as good. Not even close to half as good. Every receiver who played in 2016 and 2017, had significant statistical drops between seasons. Every single one. Facts say start the kid. We did this with Watson, I trust the way Dabo sees freshmen QBs. So just so I understand this . Bryant is a senior Trevor a freshman. At this stage I assume Bryant wants to prove he can play in the NFL. U don't get that chance being 2nd. So in an effort to show scouts his value he transfers because dabo went with freshman t. Lawrence . Imo whoever is the better passer and can run when needed to evade a sac at pivitol moments with pocket poise should be the starter. But I do believe that coaches tell players one thing then once another player shows up he lies to the other player. It's a part of recruiting. That being said as a coach you do have to make the best decision to win for years to come. Who's to confirm Clemson wins with Bryant? But one might be inclined to suggest that Trevor was or is in a good place regardless of dabos decision.

It seems pretty cut and dry. Lawrence is the superior QB. Completing 65% of his passes, 600 yards, 9 TD's and 2 INT's Bryant is completing 66.7% of his passes, 461 yards, 2 TD's and 1 INT, rushed for 2 TD's. I guess you can mention Bryant's previous season? but what does that have to do with how he's playing now?

@@jonathantiggs4628 yea, but hes young, and even next year he will not quiet yet be developed into an elite div 1 qb( which i think he clearly has the talent to be). So you need someone whos proven. With what auburn will still have coming back next year, Kelly Bryant almost automatically puts auburn right back in the sec championship and narional championship conversation. I dont think malik willis is aviable long term option at qb. So we need to transition from Jarret Sridham to Joey Gatewood with as few mistakes and losses as possible. Kelly Bryant would easily fill that hole. ..

Overall Trevor Lawrence is for sure more skilled and will be much better than Kelly Bryant, but in big games I hope Lawerence can handle the pressure, Clemson has the easiest schedule so it’s hard to say how good Lawrence is just yet
