I have this pump installed on a ship. It sounds like a fighter jet taking off when water is demanded. I have checked that there are no leaks in supply and demand. What do you think is the most likely cause? It is REALLY loud :)

When operating normally this pump sounds no louder than any modern kitchen appliance (dishwasher, fridge). That sound could possibly "cavitation". If the inlet pipe is restricted or smaller than the outlet pipe, the resulting low pressure while running the pump can cause bubbles to form and collapse. Over long periods this could damage the impellers. Does the inlet pipe get restricted below the 1" size of the fittings?

Many many thanks for this video! My esybox mini has started to leak after 8 years. The local DAB shop said that it is not worthwhile to change just the pump, because the electronics is also old. But in this moment I cannot afford the purchase of a new pump ( and I do not want to because I'm convinced that it is possible to repair it). So, with the help of a friend of mine professional in mechanics, I've started to disassembly the pump. I've arrived to step 33. After some efforts and much patience I've unscrewed the nut of the shaft, a lot of rust or something similar, but the shaft itself seems ok. Now step 34: I absolutely cannot move the diffuser-impellers stack! the first impeller seems glued to the shaft. Actually it is no surprise. Do you have any hint about how to proceed? Thanks for the kind words! It is much appreciated the whole team. If the impeller stack is seized you might try an application of CLR to lift any scaling or rust that may have found its way between the impellers/diffusers. You might submerge the problem areas (not the electronics!), or pour the solution over the area in multiple applications. If you make progress, gently prise the diffusers and repeat. We have seen substantial scaling in these parts before, especially in well water sources.

hy, it's me again ! Unfortunately, my impellers seem perfectly glued to the shaft. There are no signs of scaling or rust. Trying to remove the first impeller, I've broken it, removing just the top. At this point I've tried to saw the plastic part of the impeller closest to the shaft, and it has been very hard. I wonder if this is a choice of the manufacturer (in this case I understand the man of the local shop that said that the whole pump body should be changed), or if this is the effect of many years of continuous use. Maybe at this point I will continue with the second impeller, in any case they are selled together as a spare part. I need to change the mechanical seal, because the leak comes from the upper part of the pump. Thanks again , Ferdinando

Hello,after watching your video I have faith I can fix my DAB. After a little over two yrs my DAB stopped working. It was indicating fault 19.7. Reached out to the company and they said they can’t help me due to it wasn’t under warranty. Is there anything you can suggest I can do salvage it. Thank you

У нас сгорел мотор по причине пробития корпуса и вода пошла во внутрь насоса. Этот насос перемотаиь не возможно, статор там наглухо или прихвачен точечной сваркой или не знаю. Очень не дешёвый насос и проработал всего лишь 4 года.
