You should consider a non-return valve between the 2 t’s. The reason the dab is getting confused when u opened that tap, is cause the incoming pressure is lower that the outgoing pressure from the dab. So the water flows down that vertical pipe. So the dab is essentially trying to boost the entire municipal line. The non-return valve will sort that out.

when my pressure relief valve failed my toilets and all the bath tubs would leak. my hot water heater pressure relief valve would blow and flood the basement. the hot water heater pressure valve only blew when we would try to use the sprinklers. we have since hired a professional plumber to replace the prv and theres been no more issues. we basically have the opposite issue you have and the city water pressure is far too strong. thanks for sharing your video it was great to see how quiet it is running.

Why do you have a pressure reducing valve on that line
@DedicatedPlumber11 ай бұрын
Code maximum is 80 psi. Your plumbing isn’t rated for that. You should have done it for your sprinkler only if you were having an issue
@phjohnso11 ай бұрын
Pressure is right around 78psi at the moment

@@phjohnso you might want to install a pressure relief on the outlet in case the booster doesn’t shut off, and you keep building pressure
@phjohnso11 ай бұрын
@@DedicatedPlumber awesome idea. Can you send me a link to what that looks like
@DedicatedPlumber11 ай бұрын
@@phjohnso it depends on the route you want to go. If you want to put in a pressure regulator to keep you at 80 psi max, they have a built in relief. If you need higher pressure than that I can send you a regular pressure relief. Let me know what you need

80 psi is the max I would want to go - ill get one and do a video of the install - thank you @@DedicatedPlumber

U r a brave soul trusting shark byte fittings at 80 to 90 psi. Ima plumber and have seen them fail at lower pressure. And y is pressure reducing valve there???

Yes, that is crazy psi but aside from that, all plumbers hate slip-on connections that homeowners can install themselves. I run the usual 50-60 psi and have a bunch of places around the house with Shark Bite connections and some of them have been there for over 10 years.
