DaC - Dol Amroth: 01, The Adventure Begins

Dac V5 is still being worked on and this is a pre-release version.
The latest public version of DaC (V4.6) released on the 25th April 2021.
I was the modding lead for Divide and Conquer for 9 years and it is a total conversion mod that brings Lord of the Rings to the total war setting.

@@hunsler1006 I'm pretty sure they added Galudirithon into the captain's name pool, so it's entirely possible to get a Galu general, but I agree it would be cool to have him as a custom general.

Galudirithon, a 2-star general, should lead Dol Amroths last stand army. He comes accompanied by a retinue of Gold-chevroned Swan Knights with a full banner-army of the principality's finest elite warriors. Also Breeland should get a starting diplomat named Edward that should have all the traits to maximize his movement range but not be that good at actually diplomating things. A rebel general named Éadƿeard could be put in Heorot as well. Perhaps leading a group of woodland hunters. Edit: Also, as Dol Amroth, Galudirithon should spawn if Sauron gets the ring, just so the player has a chance to actually play with him.

I'm here and excited! Playing as Gondor and by extension Dol Amroth as the bulwark of the west always appeals to me but in terms of Gameplay and flair Dorwinion is quite unique and exciting to play. Having a main script as Dorwinion helps as Gondor lacks that element. Cannot say I have a favourite, and then there are the Elves...

Ar Ardunaim are my favourite. I even made a personal mod that allowed me to rebuild the pillar of Umbar, the Dome of Stars, a few mini quests to find the lost Palantir and added the rest of Gondor's roster (in Ardunaim colours), so it really felt like a civil war raging all across Gondor, between Royalists and Steward loyalists and then rebuilding Gondor's lost glory once the war was over.

My favourite factions are Gondor and the Dúnedain of Arnor. I have also always liked Enedwaith a lot so it will be interesting to try out the new ones when version 5 comes out. I have actually never played Bree... but those Breeland militia look absolutely amazing in their Arnor outfits so I really want to. I think will give them a try when v5 is out, in memory of Galu the Great. :)

You did a popularity poll a while back, so you did kind of ask for people's favorites, but that was just ticking a box. My favorite would have to be the Dunedain of Arnor. Theirs was the campaign I played the longest. I had something like 130 regions when I finally quit, and that was only really because v4 came out and the save wouldn't carry over. Everyone looks amazing, and getting to play with bits and pieces of other nations' rosters was great. I loved seeing my Gondor Infantry hold the line while Dunlending Berserkers flanked around the sides, or Aiwothiuda Horseguards and Eored Lancers charging side by side.

I am grateful that you're ending it with style, damn it! My favorite faction has to be Mordor. Ye, the grindy- trash army. It's slightly annoying in the early game but once Uruks, and later on the Numenorians, join up with the Orc trash, the game is a lot of fun.

Dorwinion is my no. 1. I like it because I can play it two ways either as Elves or as men based on what you choose when given the choice. I would say High Elves are second and then Dol Amroth is 3. I've enjoyed your channel immensely so I'll be along for your final "Swan Song" here at the end of all things. I do hope that you find it enjoyable perhaps (most selfishly :) ) to play some campaigns of whatever you love now and then just as a way to say hi everybody. While initially I watched for the content I now watch more because of you the person and will miss your "flying fornication" and "ello guvnah" comments. enjoy your vacation!

I love Mirkwood elves, they look fiercer than the ones from Lorien and I love the idea of winning the main war in the shadows of Mirkwood and then having this natural mega fortress that the forest is; also you get the chance to fight side by side with dwarves and men and to jump out of the woods on those damned Gundabad orcs

My favorite 5: 1.) Dale - Love absolutely everything about them. I just wish King Bain had a custom bodyguard, preferably Earls so that Dale can have 1 custom infantry, archer, and cavalry BG. 2.) Dunedain 3.) Blue Wizard Khand 4.) Dol Amroth - After securing the south hopefully with an allied Khand to hold the forces of evil off in the far East, I like to place a super army under Imrahil and reclaim Lond Daer and Tharbad, after which I help the rightful King Aragorn reform Arnor by saving the ND from certain defeat. 5.) Ered Luin either accepting or rejecting the rings

I adore the Dunedain. From their Beacon of Hope system, their beautiful units, and the lore, I love everything about the Kingdom of Arnor. Aragorn is my favourite fantasy character ever, and I have Anduril hanging on my wall. The Grey Company are also such a cool unit, book and game-wise, and I love how they are absolute MACHINES in battle. The Rangers will forever hold a place in my heart as the redeemers of Middle-Earth.

My favourite faction would strangely enough have to be Khand, I just absolutely love their aesthetic, despite the fact that the Nomad units would realistically be some of the most heavily armoured units of their tier, having brigandine and chainmail, meaning that they should probably be 6 or 8 in their armour stat. But hey, they still look sick.

Yo I feel like khazad-dum is so slept on, they were my first campaign ever and it was marvelous, with no horses and low archers I actually had to try the dwarves are also little Sherman battle tanks so that helps. Also the dwarves miners are my favorite general snipe option
