DAC always evolving! New box is cool (I feel bad I open them and throw out these boxes and they are so nice! I just opened a Black Friday box and felt bad because it’s so nice lol 😂

I do love the new boxes but the only thing I'm worried about is if they thinned out the cardboard of the front section of the box for the tabs to be easier to open. I just want my canvas to be protected! ☺️💕💎

I love this art work. Thank you for showing it. It is a very big piece, and I'm not sure I'm ready to take on anything that large yet. I will keep it on my wish list. Your video was very helpful. Also, I do like the new boxes. It makes storing the canvas easier.

I absolutley love the new box style. I believe it's less cardboard waste and designed very well. I'm not to keen on the clear wax...I'm a putty girl but it's worth giving a try. I do like the vintage vibe of this canvas & like you I hope they do all the princesses like this. Have a good week. 😀

Hi Katie thank you so much for the unboxing. This kit makes me feel all warm inside as I have wonderful memories of our big story book being child early 70's and mum reading to us each night. It had all the classics in. I wonder now how much was read and how much was mum making it up/memory as she had started losing her sight. I'm like you a keep the plastic on and I have to admit I do t understand why people don't put the canvas back into the dust cover after unboxing. The new style box I'm guessing it's like everything some will like and some not. I will have to experience one to have an opinion. I do feel that if one of the bits that threads back into the side of the box rips it will mean maybe taping it and that aspect I wouldn't like. Again Thank You x Ellie x

From an accessible POV, I love the new boxes! I have ME/CFS and weakness so I find it difficult to pull the canvases out of the current boxes without help. This will make it so much easier for me!

I really like this painting. I don't like the fairy dust drills though. They have a flat look compared to Ab's. I'm disappointed that DAC is moving away from AB drills while adding a bunch of FD drills. I wouldn't mind just a little, but I literally just opened a kit with only FD and 1 crystals with no Ab's. As for the box, I like it better than the insert that makes it nearly impossible to remove some of the canvases at times. Thank you for showing this. 😊

Ooh, I would have liked to have had a proper look at the new clear wax, but I'm glad they're offering it as I find their putty to be gummy and stringy and impossible to get off the canvas glue. Hopefully, it will be in most kits when I'm next able to buy one, and I can see it for myself 🥰✨️

I don't love the look of the new boxes (it seems less clean looking, if that makes sense), but it does seem like it reduces the crushing of the canvas from the toolkit, which I like! I'm also really hoping that we get more of these vintage looking princesses from whoever this Disney artist is - I love the style so, so much!

I’m really loving the retro vibe of this diamond painting and hope that they do all the princesses like this. The box doesn’t bother me, but I don’t know what to think about the clear wax. They’re already giving you a pink wax so I don’t see what the purposes of another colored wax unless it’s formulated to work better in the pen. I prefer putty and don’t really mind the DAC putty at all.

I keep my WIPs rolled up in their boxes and despite the new box having the sleeves, I can still keep my WIPs upright in the box. I do this due to a lack of space to have them spread out across a table or constantly displayed on a surface, as my current table I use I also use for my PC work. These new box designs look great, especially for opening and packing back down but I only ever open my kits when I'm ready to work on them and I'm just not sure how to feel about not being able to slide my WIP in and out of the box without completely opening it, or even just having a protective box to keep my WIP in. Either way, it's great to see DAC listening to their customers about some suggestions and opinions on the new changes and updates. So will definitely be keen on seeing what more people say about these new box designs too.

I really like the new box design! I can see it being really beneficial for very large kits, I had a really hard time getting Sea Star Mermaid out of the old style boxes and ripped the insert trying to pull it out 😶Thanks for sharing!

I like the new boxes! It's a pain for me to roll that thing up and shove it in the original ones. Plus sometimes I just need the tray/supplies out of one and this will be easier to get to that packet.

I haven't tried the new boxes, so I am unqualified to render an opinion for the DAC boxes. However.....in general, boxes with tabs are always challenging for me to open as the tabs tear and the box never fully close again. I'm sure the new DAC boxes are cheaper for them to make because it's one box instead of a half box inside a larger box. But those boxes were so nice! Anyway, no doubt, it was a business decision. I do love the vintage (my generation) Disney images ❤

Yikes. Already not a fan of the new boxes. I’m more prone to accidentally ripping those tabs and then the box looks a bit more janky over time (in my opinion). The only thing that would make this more beneficial is if it reduced the cost of the kit. 🤷🏻‍♂️💜

Love the colors~ love the canvas! the box not so much. Also don't love that its pink and squared. That's usually how I know what to pick next. I'll definitely buy it though!! xD

The pink is specific to the Disney Princess line of kits, for what it’s worth! ☺️ All of the old-style boxes are pink on the official Disney Princess kits, regardless of drill shape.

Im unsure how i feel about the design of the new boxes. I like the boxes were the inner tray slid out. I have an older kit and the long side of the box is open and i had to duck tape it to keep the canvas from falling out. I personally wish DAC would bring back the toolkit trays over the canvas. I know it created more cardboard but it kept the ends drom getting smooshed

Wonder why they keep changing the packaging. Plus it's a square kit, but the box is pink. I guess I'm just not a fan of change myself, if it's not broke. But I'm sure it's saving money somehow. Anytime I see pink lines my anxiety goes way up too lol

On the first look I do not like the new boxes. I never take off the plastic and it was very easy just to open the top and pull out the painting. Now you will have to open the whole box. Hopefully it will close ok after putting back the contents.

I always thought the box in a box was a waste of materials. Kinda strange they give you clear wax with the putty pen instead of extra putty but that doesn’t matter to me since I don’t use the putty anyway. And lastly, I’m just now starting on a canvas that has the red lines on the clear top and I love it, it’s bold and I can easily see it. Now your saying they are going to gray, won’t that be hard to see on a dark canvas? They need to relax they have a great product, stop messing with it.

Not a huge fan of the new box. I kinda love the original box. The ones from 2018 that can fold flat and be shipped with a lot of kits if you resell or trade. Also curious about that clear wax. Wondering if it's anything like Paddy Wax extra sticky. That's what I put in my refillable tips right now

Wonder of those boxes will hold up at the bottom of a stash…. Not liking them. Reminds me of the old ones that split up the sides when you don’t want them to. I like the inserts. I use them to hold my trabricks.

I don’t like the new boxes. It looks flimsy. The insert gave extra strength and looked special. Also, it gave extra protection in case of shipping problems. Thanks for the unboxing!

It seems like it’s about the same kind of sturdiness as the boxes they had for a long time before the ones with inserts. Maybe even a little sturdier, with the fold over flaps at either end? I’m curious to see how it does when it’s stacked with my other kits!
