Great video Dack! I am a quantum power troll and i use amulet of rao for the debuff strength, power harness for the power regen and scrap of soul cloak for when i use my power heal.Trolling is definitely an underated role and there seems to have been an influx of people who just don't know how to properly do that role. I am Capricorn112 on PS4 in game.

I would suggest replacing one of the buff troll artifacts with the Tetrahedron of Urgund artifact. Since it buffs everyone’s might using a percentage of your health number. Edit: The artifacts I use are Amulet of Rao, Parasite's Power Harness and Tetrahedron of Urgund. Though I might change the last one for Grimbor's Chains. Tetrahedron of Urgund is good because its useful for both Troll and DPS roles.

I been trolling for over a year now, I first started as a traditional power troll using EOG Parasite and Soul Cloak. all at 200. Later on in life I started to see the value in buff trolling as well (and it’s fun) . So I made a 2 armory build one buff one power. Then I realized in raids you can’t just switch armories you’d get stuck in one. Then eventually I thought, can I power troll and buff at the same time? Yes you can, I combined the Claw with Parasite and I dropped eog and cloak and made my third the Philosopher stone. With this combo, I’m able to buff all stats for all roles,still debuff and provide power and an overall damage and power free casting from the stone all in one armory build.

Everyone has their own play style and is more then free to play how they like, but I will say I am not a fan of battle trolls (or heals, or tanks), 90% of the time the ones I run into get too wrapped up in their place on the scoreboard that I hardly ever see debuffs/buffs, and people are popping colas like tic-tacs cause no power is going out at all...call me old school, but I think trolls should focus on giving power, throwing debuffs, and some crowd control. Groups shields should work in conjunction with healers and not just thrown out. Support roles should be in contact with each other with clear communication. I wont say no one ever goes down, cause we cant help one shots (or stupidity) but when Dack and I run healer and troll, when things are hairy and on cooldown for heal shields he let's me know so I can pop mines so we are not shielding on top of each other and basically wasting shields.

So, I'm extremely noob here, so keep that in mind as I ask: I was under the impression Dominance was important to land the Debuffs, is this not the case?

Dominance with only helps with Healing, Shields, and Crowd Control effects like Stuns, encasements, etc.... Debuffs are a product of the power you use, not your stats. Hope that explains it.

Gotta ask, what 'special' power do trolls have outside of the aggro dump powers that allow trolls to do pickups and activate consoles? That's the only thing that comes to mind, and when I troll I never use that over a personal shield.

Aggro dump is what I was referring to. That's why I showed it so newer players could see the wording. That also has a personal shield though I don't know if it's as good but it hasn't failed me yet.

Soooooo I chose quantum. Is that a safe control class for a new player? Quantum/fly/hand blasters.

Dont waste SP on dom as troll or healer, any time I play troll(power troll) I go super powered for passive regen and the power, then the crits, 285 in vit then the rest in power. For artifacts I use parasite power harness, amulet of rao, scrap of soul cloak. I use these 3 because you get your SC back so fast you can run no healer in relevant reg content, can debuff alot more ppl and buff power pool/regen of group members.

I can see holding Dom on Troll because the only benefit is the shield buff and the crowd control that rarely gets taken advantage of but healer side it still factors into your healing bonus. 25% if I remember which compared to Resto's 30% isn't as big but when you get into higher amounts of skill points it's a nice add.

So I should not pick gear that prioritize domination? And another question: I have a character level 30 with a artefact up to level 80, but the text on the artifact is totally greyed out, so it is not active?

@@serjaum21ds If you pick gear for your Troll side you are doing it correctly. The Troll gear just is what it is. What DCUOffending Habits is saying is he doesn't think you should prioritize Dominance with skill points or Augments. At 80 you only get part of an Artifact's effect. As you level them, more effects become active. The levels that open new abilities or improves old ones are 80, 120, 160, & 200.
