Love this session. There are 4 other songs they performed live that day too (hint, hint).

Whoa! I saw these girls up close at Louder than Life 2022. I thought they were really good live, and I had never heard of them before. Good to see they're getting more attention.

The best version of this song is a real live version when they opened up for the Foo Fighters.

Greetings from Denmark. New subscriber here. If you continue to do TW you'll get your 10K subs easy. These young ladies are worthy representent of the future of rock. 45+ originals songs to react to. They are a fantastic live band. So good ahaed, jump into the rabbit hole (eventually your daughter will come to love them too)

Yeah, baby girl doesn't seem that impressed by The Warning, and that's fine, because honestly, as young as DPA are, their music is a little more retro. The vast majority of The Warning fans are adults from Boomers to Gen Xers who grew up with Classic Rock and Classic Metal. Most of us in the older age groups are AMAZED that these young ladies are producing this kind of throw back rock.

In the US and Canada, leastways. Apparently in South America they resonating well with their own age cohort.

She's a kid. Kids get a little nervous or hold back expression when the camera is on. Seems like she likes it though. I think they just need to see them live now.

I subbed because of you doing the warning. I suggest two songs by them Revenant and Pau doing Creep as she was challenged to do it in 3 hours. Revenant is a Master piece again with Pau singing the lead and no drums. I also suggest listening to Angelina Jordan when she was 9 years old doing "I put a spell on you" that will gain you some new subs also.

Your daughter may be a bit young to really appreciate some of the nuances of this song. The time signature changes, the excellent drum fills and the top notch bass lines driving the song. I was probably in my late 20’s to early 30’s before I started appreciating music at different levels and different genres. People tend to fall into their favorite genre of music naturally and that’s perfectly ok. Music was important to me at a younger age but when I grew up and “got a haircut and got a real job” it kinda faded into the background. It’s only been the last 5-10 years of my life where my appreciation of music has rekindled. It’s great that your exposing her to other forms of music and letting her decide what speaks to her.

I think your daughter is not interested in rock music. I think she's only into K-pop. The Warning is into kpop as well.

@@KwisatzHaderach77 I might be wrong. We all loved our dad. When I was 13, my dad asked me if I could help him build a dog house. You know, to hold something and hand him the tools. Let's say I was there to please and spend time with him.

It looks that way, although often kids that age don’t necessarily go “wow” even if they like it. Also, speaking for myself, it takes me a while to get into news songs, even if they are in a genre I like or even if it’s an artist I like. That’s not really the case for me with The Warning but it generally is for, say, progressive rock.

My parents used to take me to classical musical concerts when I was about her age , which bored me to tears. When I got to be an adult, I enjoyed listening to classical music. You never know with a kid . . .
