I’m a fan of yours now!” They took a venue who were primarily there to see Kaliii and Renee Rapp and rocked their asses off. WOT! I'm surprised that you've haven't heard of them, and now sorry I (or any of your subscribers) haven't asked about them... I do know the world is a big place, and it's easy to miss individual acts. But now you're IN!! TW are slick and talented and have an extremely polished live show - they took only one take at the VMAs for this (bands were offered more). By the way, they have met Band Maid at Aftershock... Great reaction! I stumbled on them purely by accident last year at Summerfest in Milwaukee and they totally blew me away, like no other of the 50-60 bands I've seen at Summerfest over the years has. Been going down the rabbit hole ever since. Saw them again in Chicago in August at a smaller venue and they blew me away again. I think this is their best tune, but you can't go wrong with almost anything they've done, especially the vids from their concert at Teatro Metropólitan CDMX last August.

These girls don’t know how to write a bad song! Anything you do from them is gold! They were invited to play Wacken open air 2024. They have opened for Def Leppard , The Killers, Guns &Roses, Halestorm, Three Days Grace, muse 9 times among others . They are on the Metallica Blacklist Album doing their version of Enter Sandman which is more like a new song!

Welcome to the wonderful world ofThe Warning. So glad you enjoyed that first view. Yes, these three make you move around for sure. I would suggest the second one they did for the VMAs "MORE" Live is their secret sauce for sure. There is a lot of live footage out there from the past 7 or more years. You can really see how they have grown up and are so comfortable on stage. - Anything live from the Teatro concert is great. (Disciple, and Dust to Dust, would be good choices) - Their 2017 TedX talk when they were 13, 15, and 17. You might really enjoy that one too. - If you are interested in continuing on The Warning path, I would suggest a three video series (or some reactors do all three in one video) so you can see how far they have come. The Warning have a wonderful relationship with Metallica’s Enter Sandman. 1) They did a video cover in their basement when they were 14, 12, and 9 that their father uploaded to KZbin for the grandparents to see. Start here. 2) Metallica invited Alessia Cara to participate in the Blacklist 30th Anniversary album. Alessia’a team contacted The Warning and the two groups wrote, recorded, and produced an entirely new version of Sandman in only ten days that ended up being the lead track on Metallica’s anniversary album. The official music video for that is a great second video. 3) The Warning then did their Sandman version at the same Teatro Metropolitan concert you have been watching. This live performance is epic. There is really no bad place to start with these three. Good luck finding your own path through their catalog. BTW, I watched your Ghost Love Score video. The Warning Played Rock im Park and Rock im Ring this past summer in addition to opening for Muse on a number of dates. They are on the docket for Wacken 2024. Perhaps this is your time to notch that German festival and see The Warning at the same time.

*a little history:* many of us (shout out to TWA aka The Warning Army!) have been following DPA/TW (Dany, Pau [like "POW!"], and Ale [like "Ah leh"] aka "The Warning"), three sisters from Monterrey Mexico, since or before their first videos as a band started to hit the streams back in 2012... in 2014 a video of them doing a cover of Metallica's *Enter Sandman* from the "Black" album went viral... they did a few other covers but were also writing their own music, as well... they decided pretty early to not become known as a cover band... so they started releasing their own music... in 2021, DPA/TW answered a call from Metallica to take a song, any song, from the "Black" album, twist it around, upside down, and backward... keep the lyrics but make it something else... DPA/TW teamed up with Alessia Cara, a Canadian Pop and R&B artist, to reimagine *Enter Sandman* as a more haunting, eerie, and dark lullaby than the metal original... they did this in 10 days, during Covid, with Alessia working from remote in Canada... there are now three renditions of *Enter Sandman* done by DPA/TW... the original close to true cover that went viral, the OMV of the reimagined, and several of DPA/TW playing it in concert where it somehow comes out even darker and more foreboding bringing almost constant chills to some fans when they hear or experience it... DPA/TW started with music at a very young age... like 3 and 5 for Pau (drums) and Dany (guitar)... Ale (bass) wasn't even born yet... they started with piano and classical music... Ale also started on piano when she was old enough... as a family, they used to watch concerts on TV together... music has always been a part of their lives and they are influenced by many bands from years past... then came the game, Rock Band, which Dany and Pau played all the time with Ale watching and clapping along... Pau gravitated to the drums and Dany the guitar... Ale chose the bass even though she didn't know what it was at first... the bass was Ale's second choice for an instrument... originally she wanted to play the harp... they couldn't find anyone to teach her harp, though, so the bass it is, to everyone's delight! her original 4-string bass was a 1/2 size bass which was still quite big for her... later she went to a 3/4 size 4-string bass... today, Ale has several bass guitars but she mostly plays her Specter 5-string... since she was 15 years old, Ale is a Specter Featured Artist... her Specter bass has a 35" neck on it and the coloring on the body is named "Ale's Inferno"... not long after Ale started playing the bass, the girls realized they had all they needed to form a band and here we are, today... Pau is a powerful force behind her drums... in her younger days, she was likened to "Animal", the drummer on The Muppets... she put her entire body into every stroke... it was quite joyful watching her in action... she has refined her form in recent times but she still has a powerful swing and a much stronger sound... some like to say that "she beats her drums like they owe her money!" LOL since she has refined her form, she also doesn't break as many sticks as she used to... when she did break one, she seamlessly replaced it without losing a beat and many times no one ever even noticed... pure professionalism, there... in one of their interviews, Pau comments about having been playing the drums for 13 years... that was two years ago so she has 15 years under her belt, now... Pau also takes lead vocals on several songs while she is playing her drums... there are not very many singing drummers in the world, today... she does aerobic exercises and running while singing to keep up her stamina and breath control... she's been singing while playing the drums since her early years... you can find videos of Pau doing drum covers when she is like 8 or 9 years old... Dany is a goofball and total guitar nerd... she has numerous guitars in her arsenal... PRS, Rick Toon Spearfish, Manson, Gibson Explorer (gift from Lzzy Hale of Halestorm), and more recently, a mustard yellow Manson was given to her by Matt Bellamy of Muse, one of the band's bigger influences... DPA/TW have covered several of Muse's songs and more recently they have opened for Muse in Mexico and the UK numerous times... hearing Dany make her Mansons sing is quite the treat... especially when seeing them live... Dany is also the main lead singer for the group... she has quite a range (one vocal coach says Dany can hit D5) and can growl or put gravel in her tone when needed... she easily expresses emotions with her voice and her facial expressions drive it all home while she is singing... Ale and Dany both use Orange Amps to drive their sound... the three of them, together, create a huge wall of sound that flat out pummels you when you see them live... today the girls are 23 (Dany - Jan 30 2000), 21 (Pau - Feb 5 2002), and 18 (Ale - Dec 13 2004)... they have just released the full concert they did at the Teatro Metropolitan (Metropolitan Theater) in CDMX (Mexico City) back in Aug 2022... Mexico City (2240m, 7350ft) is higher in altitude than Denver, Colorado (1609m, 5280ft)! certainly higher than their home town of Monterrey, Mexico (540m, 1770ft)... this is mentioned because of the altitude and thin air... when doing strenuous activities, you need more air... in some of their early concerts, you can tell the altitude catches them out a bit... you can find their recent Aug 2022 concert on DPA/TW's YT Videos page as individual videos of the songs or as one video of the entire concert with opening and closing BTS (behind the scenes) added... they may also have a playlist of the individuals so they can be viewed in proper setlist order... the Met Theater in CDMX holds like 3500 and sold out both nights they played (Aug 26th and 29th)... some huge milestones took place at the 2023 MTV VMAs... 1) The Warning were invited to play two of their songs on the Extended Stage... 2) they were the only ones to play that were not nominated for anything... 3) they are the first Mexican band to perform at the MTV VMAs... those are all quite the achievements! for the VMAs performance, there were four takes shot... two 45 second ones for broadcast and two full length ones for each of their songs, *MORE* and *Evolve* which MTV has posted to their YT channel... DPA/TW have a working relationship with Pepsi in Mexico and have shot several commercials for them... this relationship plus being signed with Lava helped greatly with this milestone in their career, i'm sure... additionally, this summer (of 2023), they were the first Mexican band to play "Rock am Ring" and "Rock im Park" in Germany in 20 years... they have also been invited to play at the 2024 Wacken Open Air metal festival which is also held in Germany... currently they are completing their fourth album and finishing up their "Error" World Tour which has taken them all over the Americas, the UK, and Europe... i still can't believe it has been 10 years! it seems like only yesterday i was watching a very young Pau beating her drums into submission and then seeing videos of all three of them playing together as they started their journey... the rabbit hole is deep and quite enjoyable! come on in, there's plenty of room for more! 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA

For me, live is the gold standard and that is why The Warning and Band Maid are my favorites. ANYTHING from the warning at the teatro metropolitan show is the best along with "evolve" and "more" from the mva's. Don't miss hearing the drummer sing lead. Start with "dust to dust", "23" and "revenant" from the teatro show. Bassist can sing lead also but prefers not to.

Hey Jeremy! Welcome to the wonderful rabbit hole of The Warning! I have seen them live 4 times and they are like watching fish swim or birds fly on stage, it's what they are born to do! They are also the best songwriters of this generation! Watch any of their live songs from their Teatro Metropolitan CDMX show, especially, Disciple, Animosity, 23 (Pau the drummer sings lead while drumming), Survive, Revenant, or any other song. They have NO bad songs! And this show is incredibly well mixed and filmed! BTW, They are the ONLY Latin American band EVER sign directly to a US major label (Lava/Republic Records), so that tells you, they are something VERY special. They are so good, I am flying to Cancun in November just to see them live again!

Kind of like Jinjer a few years ago, I waited way late in the game to start listening to this band. Just saw them open for Guns N Roses last month, and while I didn't blow them off, I didn't fully give them enough attention. Since then, I haven't been able to stop listening to this band. Even going back 4 or 5 years when they are really young, they still have a lot of great songs in their back years. Good to see another young, hard rocking group coming into the mix. Yoooo! Dude, you need to learn more about this band! I stumbled onto them in Feb & have been floored by how great they are. They have 3 studio albums and there are no filler songs. They are master songwriters & musicians - even their lyrics are beautifully crafted. Plus they are even BETTER live (as you’ve seen here). Please check out their most recent live show releases from Teatro Metropolitan - excellent sound & video & lighting. Then you can dive into their 2nd album which is a dark, heavy masterpiece of a concept album - Queen of the Murder Scene. There is a wealth of videos available on their KZbin channel. Oh, and their fan base, affectionately called The Warning Army (TWA) are the best people you can imagine - passionate & welcoming. Please do more of The Warning!

So February of this year? I have been following them for I think 7 or 8 years now and I can tell you that the enthusiasm doesn't wane it just gets stronger. I'm not even an OG who found them from the original Enter Sandman cover back when Ale's bass was almost bigger then her. And above all else is that they have no rock star egos and they let you into their lives and show that they can be funny and self deprecating. A really special band and family!🤘🏽

You are a really good reactor - subbed for more! Great analysis, and spot on I would say. You know your stuff and you hit the nail on the head when you mentioned how comfortable they look on stage. All 3 are natural performers. Dany the guitarist is fierce, and Pau the drummer is so dramatic and theatrical I can imagine her on Broadway if she wasn't in this band. Ale, the bassist, is the glue and I'm glad you specifically mentioned her lower harmony singing and the bass breakdown riff. Well done!

They performed two of their songs. The other is titled MORE. They bands were allowe dhree takes each for the recording. The Warning nailed both of their songs in one take each. No surprise to any of us who follow them. Dany is sponsored by PRS guitars, though she does have a bit of a collection including a Gibson Explorer that Lzzy Hale gifted to her and a Manson guitar that Matt Belamy of Muse gifted to her. Ale, the youngest and the tallest of the trio, is sponsored by Spector Basses, and has been for a while. She has her own color called Ale's Inferno and a signature 5-String bass in their product line. Pau plays DW drums and uses a DW double kick pedal. She is sponsored by Sabian Symbals and uses Vic Firth sticks. She was recently named the Up and Coming Drummer of 2023 by Modern Drummer. The Warning has been together for over ten years now and have been focusing on original material for about 8 years. They have around 50 songs on two EPs and three albums. While at Berkley school of music they were told how important stage presence is and theyve taken that to heart as you seen. They use their harmonies almost like a 4th member or instrument. Even going back to their first EP Escape The Mind, you will not find a bad song. cool reaction bud 🤘🏾⚡

I stumbled across this band more than 5 years ago now, and they changed my world of music. I had given up on new music (from the 90s on, rock music had nothing for me). Then I found The Warning. They are a breath of fresh air, and as you observed they are in their natural habitat on stage. You can tell they love what they are doing. From the very first, they started playing live to audiences and so now are 10 year veterans of the stage (despite the oldest sister only being 23 years old). Love The Warning, keep going, you will not be disappointed. 🤘🏻🤘🏻

So much good stuff ftom them. They are amazing!! When they were on tour with Halestorm Lizzy Hale gifted her a guitar on stage towards the end of the tour. They said they had the up their game because The Warning was killing it so hard opening up.

I totally agree that the mixing here is phenomenal! Because unfortunately it does happen that you can barely hear the bassist Alejandra and her low vocals. So I was really pleasently surprised to hear the two songs they did at that show. The other being "More", maybe a good choice for the next song to check out.

I have seen them live twice, as many others can attest they are a LIVE band. For them, getting the studio tracks to sound like their live sound is their biggest struggle.

This is a rabbit hole worth going down my friend. I discovered them a little over a year ago when they opened for Halestorm and had never heard of them before. Was blown away. I haven’t stopped listening since and I’ve seen them live 6 times this year again already as headliners on their own tour. Just amazing.

Thank you for giving your insight as a sound engineer. I mix live sound too. The Villarreal Velez sisters are amazing songwriters and performers from Mexico who live in Monterrey, San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon. Each one of their original songs is great. Their second album, "QUEEN OF THE MURDER SCENE", is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love; from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and the fight over her soul. It is a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards. Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI CENTURY BLOOD", is also very good and is packed with many great songs. The video for the title track, "XXI Century Blood", was nominated for and won many awards. Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "ESCAPE THE MIND"; and it is amazing. Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage. After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group in the fall of 2020. They decided to release 1/2 (6 songs) of their completed 3rd full-length album in an EP called "MAYDAY" October 8th, 2021. The entire album was released June 24th, 2022: called "ERROR". "Disciple" is my favorite track! They have just recently finished recording their 4th studio album. No word on a release date or name. The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock. Both parents are professionals (recording engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic English Bilingual school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico. They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 6, 4 and 5 years old. Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC. When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. Shortly thereafter they got real instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history. Amazing they are 23, 21 and 18 years old and have already written, arranged, and released #46 original songs. I was fortunate enough to get to meet them after their show January 16th, 2020 at The Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, California. I had the opportunity to meet with them 3 more times during the 10 shows I attended on their 2022 North American MAYDAY Tour and 2023 ERROR WORLD TOUR. Aside from their music, they are just normal, sweet, intelligent, and fun-loving young ladies who are truely grateful and endearing to their fans. 🗣 Thank you Jeremy! 🤘😃

Of course you did not expect that - noone did so far by first watching them. There you have 23, 21, 18 year old Pop-Barbies ... and you learned from the last years that you'll get a nice play-back show with some poses you have seen a thousand times (more or less). Not with "The Warning": You'll get professional musicians who can and DO actually play their instruments. Of course the mix is perfect. It would not surprise me, that they'll do it on their own (at least together with the technican). They DO know how they should sound. With that professionalism comes the confidence they gained in over a year touring through the US, Southamerica and finally this and that country in Europe. Muse, Guns'N'Roses, Foo Fighters - they all WANTED them to have them as their frontrunner. They're already booked for Wacken 2024 (a rock-band at a Metal-festival). For me this is the future of rock - not Taylor Swift (no offense to her, but The Warning is another thing)

A reaction to TW and a Puscifer shirt ! I need no more … Subscribed!!! I saw them both last May at the Rockville fest… amazing! They brought their own sound engineer to the VMAs (Lalo Plaza), he’s been working with them for a few years, so that’s why their voices are so well mixed!

In 2022 they did over 100 gigs, mostly across North America with a couple in South America. They did two legs with Halestorm and then their Fall leg through Canada with Three Days Grace. This year they started off opening 4 shows for Muse in Mexico and later joined them in the UK for four more plus one in France. While in Europe they did several additional shows in Germany, Spain, Netherlands and Czech Republic. They have also done several shows in the US and just finished shows in South America before coming back to Mexico for several more shows. I know they have over 50 shows just this year. Besides Halestorm and Three Days Grace they have also opened for Def Leppard, the Foo Fighters and Guns&Roses to name a few. Apparently they have finished recording their 4th album but it hasn't finished the mixing process. Then again, they may be planning on rolling out some new material during their Mexico leg. Additionally they have done a commercial for Pepsi Black. I notice that you have also done one of my other favorite bands, Nightwish, so I went ahead and subscribed.

the production was giving all the groups 3 takes to get the performances (they did this one and another song called More).....they nailed this in their first take.....after they nailed it the producer came up to them and was like "holy shit that was amazing" hardly anybody in the crowd knew who they were but after their performances they had lots of new fans

These young ladies are incredible. And playing live is indeed their superpower. They have opened for bands like Guns n Roses, Foo Fighters, and Muse. Their energy onstage is so infectious! The drummer was voted Rock Drummer of the year in 2023. She's a little thing but turns into a monster on the drums. You should check out their song Choke. It's dark, but powerful. And they will rock you. I can't say enough good things about them. So I'll stop now.
