Dad Changes the Code on Garage Keypad (Overhead Door)

We all want to change the code on our garage door keypad at some point. Maybe you are a new home owner. Maybe you’ve had the same code for years. Whatever the reason, it’s a good idea to change it over time, anyway. Here’s how you can change it on your Overhead Door keypad.

I tried for years following the instructions on the wireless unit. I just gave up until my wife said to get someone out to get it working for a Christmas present to her. Your video just totally saved me $$$, THANK YOU! The instructions on the unit don't show to hold the 6 with the program and up/down button. Your way worked perfect the first try! It's been 9 years with it not working and now it works perfect! Thank you!

If this isn't working for anyone.... When I was pushing 357 Program it would just blink fast (error), once I pushed the buttons slower it worked.

I’ve tried this at least 10 times with no luck. I have the myQ liftmaster garage door with the yellow learn button that’s on the back of the unit. No need to remove a cover or anything. Anyone know any tips or tricks to get this to work.

@@daddoesvideos Lol I was lucky and found documentation that once the garage door is activated from the keypad, any key works for 30 seconds. I imagine this is a built it safety in the event you need to stop the door quickly. After resting the door opener for 30 seconds, the key code is required :)
