The acting in this video was phenomenal. The fact that the father doesn't change at all and then tried to instill the same fear into his grandsons....tragic.

I wouldn't have wanted "Dad" around those boys, if they were MY sons...if anything, I'd have told him "What are you doing here? I thought you were dead - I disowned you a long time ago and have my OWN family, and I don't want you - nothing more than a virus - in it, so stay away from ME, MY husband (in my case), and MY sons, and go back to your cave and die in it, old man - and take your misery with you!"

I wish the mother stood up for the kids, maybe Tristan and Gabe would still be alive if she fought for them and showed that their mother also cared about them. Those poor kids were neglected, especially Tristan who definitely suffered the most emotional abuse out of the three just because he was different. The Father should’ve lost all of his rights to ever seeing his children after the abuse started

When Tristan died I just starting tearing up so hard, he pushed them so hard Into being a state champion that the first brother died of to much strain or something and the second one committed sucide, because he was constantly being told that he would never be good enough and of stress. and the fact that they’re actual fathers who are like this:(💔

I feel so bad for Tristan and Gabe. They tried so hard to impress their father, and he didn’t even feel sad when they died. He only cared about himself being the best. Even though Marcus made it through, it was still sad ending. It would have been nice if the mom and children left the dad, and lived their own life.

I felt bad for the mom because she definitely was also being abused so I understood why she didn’t do anything, but at the same time it made me so mad when she didn’t even try to stand up for her sons and try to confront the dad. She let their father abuse, damage, and break them and be the reason two of their sons died. If I were in her shoes I’d stand up for the three in a heartbeat even if it meant I was going to get hurt.

It’s lowkey the mothers fault too, she never once defended her sons when she saw the father verbally and emotionally abusing them. I 100% understand why she didn’t do anything because of how violent and abusive he was but it still wasn’t right for her to just not defend her children. In the future If i saw my children’s father abusing them I would’ve stood up for them in a heartbeat even if it meant I was about to get hurt. He’s an awful father and im sad that Marcus didn’t fully cut him off and that he was still allowed to see Marcus and his children and treat his grandkids the same way he treated Marcus and his brothers

It's kind of a broken lesson when the remaining son lets that asshole be around his own family when he hasn't changed at all. The message would mean more if he cut ties with his father entirely and dumped him in a nursing home. Because, yeah, that's reality. If your abusive parent is unwilling to change (esp. when their actions caused you to lose your siblings), you're within your rights to cut contact with them and move on. Bonus points if the dad's wife leaves him, too (since she basically lost all three of her sons because of him). So his unwillingness to change left this old man alone. Now *that's* a life lesson.

I cried my eyes out watching this🥺 emotional and verbal abuse can really take a toll on someone’s mental and physical health. Marcus’ father’s aggression and abuse is the reason half of his family is dead and because of that, it traumatized Marcus to where he took his anger out on that fighter he competed against, because that’s what he pictured doing to his father. To get revenge for the trauma he caused him and his brothers. Great video as always

Not gonna lie, this is probably the best video in a while. Some things were particularly relatable. I literally got goosebumps when Marcus read Tristan's goodbye note (almost produced tears too). Don't wanna trauma dump so I will stop here, but it's crazy stuff how the dad didn't care when both of his sons were dying. I know some dads like that exist so my thought process is that they want to see their sons succeed at their dreams so much that they end up becoming abusive and almost seeing them as tools.

This video is so inspiring. Not because my Dad was like the dad in this video, (my Dad’s the opposite) but because it inspires me… that when I eventually have kids of my own, I will make sure I don’t pressure them to like the same things I do, they will come to their own interests and I will support them for what they choose to do with their *own* lives ❤

Id immediately fight in court for any of my family members if I caught them repeatedly abusing my children to have no visitation rights to see my children and risk my life if it meant keeping them safe and not letting them get hurt. Im shocked Marcus didn’t go to court about this after confronting his dad and that his dad was still allowed visitation rights. Abusive parents shouldn’t have visitation rights nor custody if they do this, but sadly the justice system is horrible and fails so many children :(
