The ideal well-being is often present when a child has two loving and attentive parents. We don’t learn the same values/lessons from our mother and from our father. Two complete each other. I say this as someone who didn’t have my mom, I had my dad and my grandma replaced my mom. My grandpa didn’t replace my dad since he was there. So I had, thank GOD, not two, but three loving parents. The more, the merrier. Despite all of this, kids still feel the missing piece regardless of parent/gender role.

​@@gsmoore2668 wait what? Is this sarcasm? You realize the the CDC quietly _lowered_ their expectation for speech development after the lockdowns? I was working at a daycare during the whole freakout (year 2019-2020) and trust me, the effects of masking, lockdowns and social distancing, has had a very negative impact on the social development of the little ones. If adults were killing themselves over lockdowns, do you realize what this will do to people who never even grew up seeing normal, healthy human interaction? It's so painful to look back and know that I didn't fight more for them, but it was all new at the time and I didn't know where any of it was going. I complied, and I became part of the problem, and I was harming children by blocking the only way they knew how to communicate. I have the most vivid memory of a new child joining, he was just a little baby, and I was holding him, rocking him. He looked up at me, reached out his hand and pulled off my mask. I, feeling horrible, put it back on, but I was a complete stranger, holding him, and he was just asking me who I was, in the only way he knew how.
