Although this is intended as a joke back then, it is being considered seriously now, to implement weights of passengers into the check in, because most people really are way too heavy nowdays and added up significantly affects how the plane runs. I think it's a fair point, why weigh just luggage when people weigh heavy as well.

These were the days that you could do a prank without getting arrested. Or you could talk to kids without their mum calling the cops. And people actually had time for other people, instead of the priority of hustle and bustle! Or try to make somebody smile without them geting suspicious and paranoid about you. And these were the days when people actually spoke to other people in a friendly manner, whether stangers or not. These were the days when you could actually trust other people not to take advantage of you, or try to rob you. Ah yes.....The 'good old days!'

He refused because he was about to miss his flight, but they told him that they were having the plane wait for him, so he did sign the release. When he got to the plane, he did get on just as they were closing the doors, but they were not waiting and didn't know anything about it. (The producers lied!).

@@grassynoel42 Of course we still shame people for disgusting obesity - and rightfully so. They stampede about and present eye sores for the rest of us, inflicting their grotesque unsightliness unto all of us. Never mind the fact that the fat rolls from these disgusting creatures trespass onto our seat in an airplane. If we get one tiny little chance at revenge for all the visual nightmares they inflict on us, then we damn better well jump at the chance. And of course we should weigh people before boarding the airplane. Fat people require consumption of more fuel. We normal people should not be expected to bear the cost for these fat & lazy hiefers.
